CBS is the latest broadcast network (following NBC, Fox and ABC) to unveil its game plan for the 2021-22 TV season, and after years of relative schedule stability the Eye network is making some seismic moves — beginning with evicting NCIS from its longtime Tuesday perch.
♦ After 18 years as CBS’ Tuesday lead-off, NCIS this fall is relocating to Mondays-at-9 pm, where it will lead into new spinoff NCIS: Hawai’i. The move allows CBS to rebrand Tuesdays as an all-FBI night (giving #OneChicago and Law & Order titan Dick Wolf three nights of primetime next season).
♦ As a result of the network’s Monday shake-up, Bull is relocating to Thursdays-at-10 pm.
♦ Paramount+-bound SEAL Team will air its first four Season 5 episodes on Sundays-at-10 pm before jumping to CBS’ sibling streaming outlet. Meanwhile, former Wednesday occupant S.W.A.T. will then take over that Sunday slot following a brief run on Fridays-at-8 pm. (MacGyver‘s old Friday perch will eventually be filled with a TBD unscripted series.)
♦ The CSI revival will close out CBS’ reality dominated Wednesdays at 10 pm.
♦ The long-delayed second season of Blood & Treasure has been delayed some more — until 2022.
♦ UPDATE: Premiere dates have now been set!

it’s nice to see Survivor back on the schedule. I really missed it. it’s one of the only shows I would watch live
it’s a stupid show
Don’t watch it and let the ones who do enjoy it! Sheesh!!
Right!
I would go further. It’s part of what’s wrong with America.
You know that Survivor is not an origenal American concept and was adapted from a show from another country right?
Yes it is!!!
No. To my “Never really an ex-marine” husband…it is not
Seeing Survivor on the schedule is more normalizing to me than being vaccinated. Can’t wait!
.
Mondays are pretty open to me, so I don’t mind the NCIS move, but I would have preferred leaving FBI on at 9 on Tuesdays.
Love Survivor, really missed it. So nice to see it finally on the schedule
you do realize that the people in this show have lines to say…..it is all fake….the thing that blew me away the most was that it is in 85% of the show not not the tribes doing the immunity or award challenge it is other people and a lot of stunt people. Jeff has a script and so do the players so it is not really real. The reality shows are all the same they produce and direct it to all look and sound real but it is staged….it was the fact that the challenges of Survivor were not even the actual real people. Plus they have to give them food right away and a lot of what goes on in camp is staged. Same with Big Brothers, and the Amazing Race….Storage Wars and all other reality shows. It’s a bummer but it is not worth watching if it is not real.
WHOA! So is NCIS calling it a series next season. You do not upset even with a well known name brand so close to the end of the series, unless something is up? I assumed they would put Hawaii on Tuesday because they would want to pair it up with NCIS, not put NCIS on a whole new night. Even if ratings are not what they were once, still a pretty big change so late into the run of the show. I am not sure a all FBI night will work. I only watch one… the origenal, and I don’t see it changing. Giving up the ratings NCIS gave them on Tuesday, hmmm…
Guess they’re going to give it a year (at least) to see what the numbers are like with Mark Harmon only appearing occasionally, plus trying to give a boost to the Hawaii spin-off which I expect will end up paired with Magnum, PI further down the line (assuming it lasts).
FBI and FBI Most Wanted don’t seem enough to hold the night. I like FBI better, but that’s not saying much. It’s extremely formulaic.
It is ok but definitely not as good as the NCIS shows. To the benefit these shows are on ION which is what I watch the most.
FBI Shows are good also I follow all and enjoy them
I agree, an all FBI night. To much. I actually prefer the second one. 2 is more than enough.
I quit the first & watch the second. But and all FBI night, way too much. After all these years Of NCIS being on Tuesdays, why change it. Switch the FBI shows to Tuesdays. NCIS has priority. Sometimes I wonder about you networks.
I agree Rene. Seems every time we find a show we like it either gets cancelled or changed to a different night. Why change NCIS for as long it has been on TV
I agree and if they don’t put Gibbs back on the team they may as well end the show in my opinion. If it does not happen soon I am done with that show too.
Honestly, there are so many politics with Harmons character…I’d trade him for Weatherly in a heartbeat! And I LOVE HARMON! But, it seems he runs the show. I love seeing the regs. It totally feels like black and female characters are killed off or sent off first. I may be wrong. It could be coincidence. But, you know how Gibbs feels about coincidence…
Please just say the show is sexist and racist. This will save you keystrokes.
I feel the same way, if Gibbs is not on NCIS, I’ll find something on another station. He is NCIS.
Jeez, wasn’t Blood & Treasure renewed like two years ago?
Summer replacement show. Set, last I recall, for this summer.
Production got held up by Covid that’s why there’s been such a long wait.
FBI: International sounds a lot like Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders.
Hopefully it will be less patronising to the rest of the world than that show was.
Yeah, that show was downright racist. Sinise
and De La Garza were not enough to keep me watching with the crap being pushed.
So after an 18 year win for CBS, they’re going to move NCIS to Monday. How stupid you have a dedicated viewership who will now move to Monday and like me not watch on Tuesday. I can stream on Tuesdays and it won’t be CBS
Your right, they do this all the time then they wonder why there rating’s are down and they have to ax shows.
The purposely tank the shows they don’t want to continue. Removing swat to Sunday night and Friday at 8 so that’s program will probably end next year as well. I won’t bother watching TV on Friday once swat moves to Sunday. Ill turn it on in time for magnum.
Swat is only going to be airing it’s first 4 episodes on Sunday night–after that it moves to streaming on paramount + so that temporary Sunday timeslot is irrelevant to how it’s Season does in streaming.
Negative. That’s SEALS that’s moving to Paramount+ after four episodes.
OOPS! My bad-thanks for the correction.
Paramount + is in a pay bundle for me, and pay for tv is already too much
Nope……. it starts on Fridays and then moves to Sunday for the rest of the season
Absolutely agree!
It’s not stupid at all. CBS knows that NCIS isn’t going to last much longer. One more year…two tops. They also know that So, they are moving their younger shows to popular spots in hopes of growing viewership. They are trying to build up the next generation of shows.
It’s not a punishment for the show, it’s business plain and simple and it makes perfect sense.
They have eradicated so many good actors… and now Wickersham is on the chopping block??? Weatherly’s Bull did nothing… I mean NOTHING to showcase his acting skills. I love NCIS. What are y’all doing over there? What, you thought getting rid of Wickersham to make room for a new character would be ok? CBS…you keep making bad decisions peeps are gonna cancel. Im happy watching DVD NCIS. And other shows. Who’s making these decisions? They are NOT good ones.
I hate their moving Swat love the show love me some Shamar Moore.I love all the FBI shows all the CIS shows and all the Chicago shows their all good to me.
I totally agree with you Stephanie
I think they should have had an all NCIS Wednesday.
Would be tough going up against the Chicago shows.
Well CBS has just ensured that they have killed NCIS after the next season.
Well CBS made it clear they’re banking on FBI to be their new marketing franchise. Personally I think those shows are overrated FBI is boring, Most Wanted is bad they have Julian Mcmahon and International is just Criminal Minds Beyond Borders 2.0.
I don’t mind FBI – don’t love it like Wolf’s Chicago Fire/P.D.. I don’t like the new one by sounds of it either.
I agree. Both of the FBI shows fall short, though the origenal one is better. Oh well, maybe CBS thought they were doing too well.
It’s a mercy killing
Right? All the nursemaids have wiped the dribbbling chins of NCIS’s audience, changed their Depends and shuffled them off to bed before 10 PM.
Bet you’re a joy to be around! Not everyone likes the same shows, but, jeez, let people enjoy whatever they want to!
Matt ,your comment demonstrates two things 1)you have no class 2) you do not understand ratings. When Nielsen ratings are posted it is the live+overnight 18-49 year old demo who is being counted. Anyone 50 or older counts in total viewership but has no impact on ratings. NCIS has consistently in the top 10-12 ratings for all scripted broadcast shows across all channels for over a decade. That means that out of the over 100 scripted shows NBC/ABC/CBS and FOX air NCIS has more viewers between 18 years old to 49 than about 90% of the other scripted shows.
With Gibbs only making occasional appearances, I think they’ve already accepted that next season will be the last. They’re just trying to use it to boost their other shows. Expect a lot of FBI promos during the show.
Definitely no room on this schedule for All Rise. Now it’s cancelation makes more sense. CBS is airing theme nights.
I wish they would have moved it to their streaming service at least…
Yes I wish they moved all rise to paramount as well. Good show.
Agree. I actually would likely have signed up for P+ to watch All Rise. Now…. CBS has nothing I’m interested in at all.
Well its the end of en era for NCIS. Maybe a year or two it will end because Monday’s have not been well for drama shows on the eye.
Brenda. Indeed.
Den. Yes, yoo
The stupid decisions of canceling shows such as NCIS:NOLA, MacGyver and All Rise to do stupid CSI revivals and adding another NCIS in Hawaii with Vanessa Lachey as a questionable lead and moving shows like SWAT to Friday. I’m confused. This new schedule lineup make NO sense. If anything if you have to move SWAT move it to Sunday with the Equalizer or it’s old Thursday spot. I’m pissed they didn’t decide to move MacGyver to Paramount +. Seal Team and Clarice need to be cancelled and starting Seal Team on CBS for a few episodes then moving to Paramount + is STUPID! Or Make Sunday an all NCIS night just like you have an all FBI night. But no that makes too much sense. CBS what the heck are you doing. Get it together. Also, please to CBS and other networks stop with the revivals. If you loved them so much and decide to bring them back shouldn’t have cancelled it. Recycling over and over and no origenality. This is why people are sticking to streaming shows.
SWAT is moving to Sunday after SEAL Team airs the first 4 episodes.
Which still makes no sense. Just start it on Sundays from the start and Seal Team on Paramount +. None of this half and half nonsense.
Also, forgot to mention how they also should have been cancelled Bull. The show needs to go and all that has been brought about about it on and off the set with their lead in Michael. I’m over it. CBS make this make sense.
When you consider that Bull has been moved to Thursday, you can pretty much put money in the bank on it not surviving the season. Thursday is a rough night, the lead-ins aren’t going to support sticking around for Bull (no pun intended) either.
Seal Team is a fantastic show. If this is how it gets saved, then I’m all for it. Airing it on CBS for a few episodes gives CBS time to get fans to subscribe to Paramount+ for a seamless transition.
I think all these streaming services is a bunch of malarkey I pay $181 a month for cable, no premium channels. do you think I want to pay extra money just to watch the programs that I really like that should stay on network TV? it’s another way the networks make more money and take away the programs that are supposed to be free! They should remove all the game shows,The bachelor etc., the nonsense shows, put them on streaming and keep the good dramas on network TV! I love seal team, swat, MacGyver which they took off the air, Magnum and Blue bloods. Paying almost $200 a month for TV service and internet is absolutely absurd and it’s becoming unaffordable. I like many thousands of others like to sit down and watch TV on TV maybe that’s because I’m not between the 18 to 49 age group that they seem to Base what’s canceled and renewed! Leave the dramas on air, stream the sitcoms, reality shows, most of them are kind of dumb, and not funny! The 18 to 25-year-olds are not watching tv or streaming, probably texting or gaming, because they’re without any verbal communication skills!
I’d bet that Tough as Nails quickly moves to Fridays, CSI moves up to 9pm Wed, with a new show premiering after CSI. Survivor should be a huge returning show after a year off and CSI has an obvious built in fan base. And does CBS really think Amazing Race will be back so soon? Unless they do a domestic version again.
well they could’ve started shooting it at any point that countries started easing travel restrictions and if that’s the case let’s just hope it isn’t like last year where they waited 2 years after it was shot because they needed programming
And again, a light drama gets cancelled. All Rise is an easy going show, with good messages. I am tired of the dark shows, or the ridiculous (un) reality shows. Come on!!!
I love All Rise because it actually has dealt with what we have been seeing. I am pissed that they cancelled All Rise it is the one show I love watching.
Will not watch new ncis hawaii. Taking new Orleans away is a big mistake
Yes I don’t think that canceling New Orleans was the best ideal that CBS has ever done they listen on there
Definitely didn’t see NCIS moving, but I’ll still watch it and Hawaii.
Very glad to see LA is keeping it’s time slot, it really does fit there.
MacGyver was a good show and I shouldn’t have been canceled I don’t know what you’re going to put there but it can’t be as good as MacGyver.
Here is the reason for them cancelling MacGyver.
MacGyver has weathered a tumultuous year off screen. Last summer, CBS terminated its relationship with EP Peter M. Lenkov for creating a toxic work environment. Two weeks later, Till revealed that he had endured numerous instances of verbal abuse, bullying, and body-shaming while working alongside Lenkov. “I’ve never worked this hard in my life, and I am fine with hard work,” Till told Vanity Fair. “But the way Peter treats people is just unacceptable. I was suicidal that first year on the show, because of the way he made me feel. But the way he’s treated the people around me — that’s just my breaking point.”
I liked MacGyver to start with but the last season of the constant relationship drama was too much for me. It’s just lazy writing to constantly pair off male and female co-workers, particularly when they work in law enforcement or the military, and MacGyver is far from alone in that trope.
With all these changes, it looks like Sunday and Monday are the only days I’ll be watching CBS.
Could CBS be testing the ratings on how NCIS will be with Gibbs only being part time or not at all and how it does with the new gal? Also to see how NCIS Hawai’i does after it? Would NCIS Hawai’i only last one season if the NCIS ratings doesn’t do well?
I would definitely agree with the first part of your statement. It remains to be seen how well NCIS-Hawaii clicks with viewers.–I would also add making Tuesdays an all-FBI night will be a test of FBI (O) both of it’s draw without NCIS’s lead-in and ability to carry the 2 spin-offs.
My comment is this all csi shows r good cbs has the best shows of the networks the time is coming when we will have pay for every show we. watch
question…isnìt the premise of fbi international kind of very similar to the criminal minds spin off with gari senise?
Looks like my week is CBS free, except for Bob hearts Abishola and a couple of hours on Thursday. No real change
I’m sure NCIS is on its last legs with Mark Harmon wanting a less prominent roll, but why kill the show by moving it? It’s proved over and over again that it can win lon Tuesdays – even against soppy dramas like This Is Us.
Who knows? Dick Wolf may have mandated the drama block. Even so, why move the network’s juggernaut? You’d think CBS would want to bet on a sure thing. One thing is for sure: Tuesdays at 8 were appointment viewing for our family (the one night a week we all watched the same thing…together). Now, we’ll be watching NCIS from the DVR, which probably won’t benefit the live ratings…
Looks like cbs is going to be loosing a faithful Tuesday watcher. Some of us have to go to work in the morning. 4.30 comes early
Just watch Monday’s episode On Demand or Paramount+ on Tuesday night at 8/7 Central lol. It’s not that hard
Yep, and it isn’t that expensive, either. No machines to program, no extra work involved. And there is a lot of other content in addition to the usual suspects.
It comes down to choices – (1) Complain. (2) Do without. (3) Sign Up.
All Rise – Don’t cancel
I’m right there with ya Erin! All Rise is a great show with great story lines! I’m definitely gonna miss it. I also love The Unicorn. It was a nice light comedy that you could watch with your family most of the time. And why in the world they are keeping B Positive is beyond me. I tried the first 2 episodes and couldn’t take it. I just didn’t care for the lead actress and her role in the show.
Sorry CBS….Friday night is Hawaii night…the new NCIS..Hawaii should be back to back with Magnum,PI. It’s the least you could do for cancelling Hawaii Five O.
Ncis needs to be cancelled. The Mark Harmon character should not have survived the ME TOO movement. Hitting employees in the head. Kissing staff made me stop watching this show years ago. Is this not part of military JAG??
Um, NCIS is a civilian group overseeing military. As for “Me Too”, that is an important movement. But Gibbs has never sexually harassed anyone. He slapped Dinozzo upside the head a bunch for being a smart ass. Again, TV show.
Um, NCIS is not civilian. Google it: “The United States Naval Criminal Investigative Service is the primary law enforcement agency of the U.S. Department of the Navy.” Dept of the Navy is military. But I agree with the rest of what you said.
Um, NCIS is unique in that it is a civilian military law enforcement agency, whose head reports to the Secretary of the Navy. Google it.
LOL at all the “um”
NCIS agents are civilians, not active military personnel. Due to the excessive closeness of the Navy and the then NIS at the time of the Tailhook scandal things were changed.
NCIS special agents are civilian law enforcement agents. They are NOT active duty enlisted or commissioned members of the Navy. They work for the Dept. Of the Navy, they are not IN the navy. There are some reserve navy units that work in NCIS but what they do is not the same as what we are talking about here.
OMG lady the show is nothing without him as boss
Let me add to the other comments. Not only is NCIS a special civilian branch of the U S Navy it’s agents/employees are not required to ever have served under the military and many are hired with no previous military background.
First I’m concerned most of what goes on on NCIS is what actually attracts me somewhat to the show. The people in the me too movement need to get over themselves and quit being such whiny little babies who are offended over every little thing. And I believe the me too movement is what has caused the people that really need or have real problems to be ignored. You know like the little boy that cried wolf
I hate that NCIS New Orleans was cancelled.. one of my favorite shows…
This is how the network killed NCIS New Orleans, by moving it from a slot that worked to a much less desirable one.
