The Mayor's Office of Cultural Affairs fosters an environment in which art and culture flourish for the sharing and benefit of all residents and visitors.

Guided by the Arts and Cultural Plan, MOCA manages and supports City of Houston’s cultural investments by implementing policies and initiatives that enhance access to creative and cultural experiences across the city. MOCA works with a variety of partners, including Houston First and the 7 state-certified Cultural Districts, across the diverse creative ecosystem including music, public art, grants, and City-owned cultural facilities.
