Bryce Miller is a sports columnist for The San Diego Union-Tribune. He has been the sports editor and lead columnist of the Des Moines Register. He’s worked in Arlington, Va., for USA Today and covered six Olympics with that group. He has written from the World Series and MLB All-Star Game, Final Four, Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes, college football championship game, Rose Bowl, NFL playoffs, U.S. Open and PGA Championship — among other national events. Assignments have included trips to Mexico City, the Dominican Republic and Seoul, South Korea, to cover the Padres; Eritrea, Africa, to trace the childhood roots of Boston Marathon winner and Olympian Meb Keflezighi; and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, to chronicle the world’s richest fishing tournament. Miller — an annual voter for the Heisman Trophy and Wooden Award, and former college football and basketball Top 25 voter — is a member of the Baseball Writers Association of America. He’s an Emmy, Eclipse Award and multi-time APSE winner.
