A monster of a wave - for serious surfers only. The wave breaks on a shallow reef and produces grinding barrels with the thickest lips. Nicknamed 'Chopes' and pronounced 'cho-po' this epic wave is pretty consistent and will throughout the year. Teahupo'o is currently one of the spots on the WSL Championship Tour.
The wave is offshore on a North or North East and breaks in a South or South West Swell.
An epic wave - for seriously good surfers only!
