Bastion beach has waves that can get up 5 foot and the best tide low, wind and swell change according to the weather and the best time of year to go to this beach is summer.
come In to Mallacoota though Mallacoota and then go around the round-a-bout onto Betka road and then turn onto Bastion point road.
all accommodation in and around Mallacoota is surfer friendly and so is the camp parks.
the parking is free and there is a reasonable amount of parking space.
the Surf Shack has all your surfing needs including surf boards and wetsuits. you can also hire those things.
the local public school and the local SLSC work together and take the students surfing and they can teach them how to surf.
Mallacoota is surrounded by beaches and most of them have surf. there are markets and lots of other fun things to do for the family.
