- Carmen Hertz Cádiz (born 19 June 1945) is a Chilean Communist Party politician and lawyer who participated in various institutions for the protection of human rights that arose as a result of the systematic violations committed during the dictatorship headed by Augusto Pinochet from 1973 to 1990. She worked with the Vicariate of Solidarity, the (FASIC), the , and the Ministry of the Interior's Human Rights Program. She became the human rights director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs after Chile's transition to democracy, and was elected to the Chamber of Deputies in 2018. (en)

Participó en la Vicaría de la Solidaridad, la Fundación de Ayuda Social de las Iglesias Cristianas (Fasic), la Corporación Nacional de Reparación y Reconciliación y el Programa de DDHH del Ministerio del Interior, antes de ser directora de Derechos Humanos y Directora Jurídica del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores una vez logrado el retorno a la democracia. Entre 2006 y 2009 ejerció como embajadora de su país ante la República de Hungría. Miembro del Partido Comunista de Chile (PCCh), desde marzo de 2018 se desempeña como diputada por el distrito N.° 8, de la Región Metropolitana de Santiago. (es)
