Lantiwei, also spelled as Lantiwee and Lantiwé, is a Ndyuka Maroon village on the Cottica River in Suriname. Lantiwei lies opposite the village of Pinatjaimi, with Lantiwei being the village the people of Pinatjaimi originated from. During the Boni-wars the colonial army build the camp ‘s Lands Welvaren soon to be nicknamed by the soldiers as Devil's harwar (harbour) because of the many soldiers who were killed by tropical diseases. During the Suriname Guerrilla War, many people fled to either French Guiana or to Paramaribo.

Since 2011, there has been a road connecting Lantiwei to the East-West Link, via the laterite road that had already connected Wanhatti since 1972. (en)

Sinds 2011 is de laterietweg (bauxietweg) die Wanhatti verbindt met de oostelijke tak van de Oost-West verbinding doorgetrokken naar Lantiwee. Daarvoor was het dorp alleen te voet of over de rivier te bereiken. De weg volgt het tracé van een oud militair kordonpad. Lantiwee vervult een belangrijke streekfunctie op het gebied van de gezondheidszorg. In 1980 richtte de Amerikaanse baptiste, zendingsverpleegkundige en verloskundige Anne Dreisbach (1948) een medische hulppost op in het dorp. Naast evangelisatie biedt zij medische zorg aan ca. 2000 bewoners van de dorpen aan de Cottica. Tijdens de Binnenlandse Oorlog (1986-1992) vluchtten veel bewoners naar Frans-Guyana of naar Paramaribo. (nl)
