- Der Ndogboyosoi-Krieg, eigentlich Ndogboyosoi-Konflikt (englisch Ndogboyosoi war bzw. conflict; Ndogboyosoi ist einer Mende-Sage nach eine Figur, die die Wege der Wälder bewohnt) war eine Zeit politischer Gewalt, die Mitte der 1980er Jahre zwischen Anhängern des All People's Congress (APC) und der Sierra Leone People's Party (SLPP) in Sierra Leone stattfand. Die Gewalt konzentrierte sich auf den Distrikt Pujehun, insbesondere auf das Chiefdom . Ausgelöst wurde sie durch die angebliche Wahlmanipulation der regierenden APC-Partei und das Eingreifen einer Sondereinheit der Zollpolizei gegen Anhänger des SLPP-Kandidaten. Nach der Gewalt kam es zu keinem Versöhnungsprozess. Kinder der bei den Kämpfen getöteten oder in der Haft verstorbenen Personen gehörten zu den ersten, die sich der Revolutionary United Front (RUF) anschlossen, einer Rebellengruppe, die neun Jahre später den Bürgerkrieg in Sierra Leone begann. - The Ndogboyosoi War, also known as the Bush Devil War, was an episode of political violence that occurred in 1982 between supporters of the All People's Congress (APC) and the Sierra Leone People's Party (SLPP) in Sierra Leone. The violence was centered in Pujehun District, especially in the Soro-Gbema chiefdom. It was triggered by the ruling APC party's alleged electoral manipulation and the intervention of a special squad of customs police against supporters of the SLPP candidate. There was no process of reconciliation following the violence. Children of those killed in the fighting or of those who died in detention were among the first to join the Revolutionary United Front (RUF), a rebel group which began a civil war in eastern and southern Sierra Leone nine years later.
