The Clue! (known as Der Clou! in German-speaking regions) is a 1994 adventure game inspired by the 1986 game They Stole a Million. The player is tasked with finding accomplices, scouting potential targets, and plotting a burglary. The game uses a point-and-click interface. A sequel followed in 2001: The Sting! (or Der Clou 2!.) In 2000 the source code was released to the public. The game was since then ported to modern platforms (Windows, Linux and Web) via SDL and receives still updates by the game's community (2015).

Für den Commodore Amiga gibt es ausschließlich eine Disketten-Version, für MS-DOS und das Amiga CD³² auch eine CD-Version, die sogar Sprachausgabe enthält. 2000 erschien zudem eine Freeware-Version für Linux. Bei dem Spiel handelt es sich um eine sogenannte Einbruchssimulation bzw. Stealth-Computerspiel. In einer Rückblende wird der Werdegang eines jungen Landeis namens Matt Stuvysunt erzählt, der Anfang der 1950er-Jahre mit wenig Geld in London ankommt und fortan versucht, an Geld zu gelangen. Die Steuerung erfolgt über einzelne Menüpunkte wie zum Beispiel Gehen, Warten, Umsehen, Nachdenken. Falls eine IBM-kompatible Maus angeschlossen ist, lässt sich Der Clou! auch durch Point-and-Click steuern. Musik und Geräusche der DOS-Version stammen von Hannes Seifert. Im Jahr 2000 wurde der Quelltext veröffentlicht. Seitdem wird das Spiel von der Community weiterentwickelt und auf neue Plattformen portiert (Windows, Linux und Web) via SDL. The Clue! è un gioco di avventura, in cui si vestono i panni di Matt Stuvysant, uno scassinatore, a cui non bastano i vestiti che ha addosso e una stanza in un hotel di Holland Street. Il giocatore deve trovare complici, potenziali vittime e escogitare piani per i colpi, nei minimi dettagli. Il gioco si serve della classica interfaccia punta e clicca durante le indagini, mentre lo sviluppo di piani permette anche l'utilizzo della tastiera, per cambiare i movimenti programmati dei complici.
