English: I found in the book Physic and Philanthropy: A History of the Welcome Trust 1936 – 1986.
- The 60ft vessel was built in Brightlingsea in Essex, U.K. for the Welcome Trust for use on the river Gambia in Gambia as a transport launch and floating laboratory.
- September 1958 launched as the LADY DALE.
- Length 60ft, built of African mahogany, sheeted with copper.
- Fitted out with two diesel engines.
- Cost £26,000 including the transport cost to Gambia.
- May 1973 sold to the United Nations for £5,000, not any information more.
