Proposed deletion of Nachna Onedei Naei
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Nachna Onedei Naei, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:
- unsourced/dubious claim to notability
All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Bizarre edit
You made a bizarre edit to Template talk:Citations missing. I reverted it because the page in question is not an India-related article on a living musician. Perhaps you intended a different page? --Thinboy00 @108, i.e. 01:36, 29 August 2009 (UTC)
With all due respects, your references are non-academic, non-governmental and unreliable, consisting of two blogs and a commercial site. I don't know how you figure those are "reliable references". Certainly, wikipedia considers them to be questionable sources (Wikipedia:Identifying_reliable_sources). Your accusation of "original research" is also ludicrous, since I'm simply stating what my reliable sources plainly state. You should learn to get your facts straight. At present, I will not delete your additions just yet since as unsubstantiated as they are, there is a slim chance that they may have a grain of truth. However, once I can find sources to back my assertions I will add them and re-edit the article.
As for your reasoning on why there cannot be volcanic salts in the Himalayas, I think they are a bit flawed. While it is true that there are present no active volcanoes in the Himalayas, prior to the collision of the Indian subcontinent with Asia in geological history (Geology of India), the sea that was present there was volcanically active. This explains the presence of large salt deposits throughout the range including volcanic salts. These geologic forces are also the same ones that create these fold mountains, so there can be volcanically create salts from the regions of the Himalaya. And no, I am not confusing this with Himalayan salt. Sjschen (talk) 13:27, 23 April 2010 (UTC)
I have already indicated to you several times already that blogs and commercial sites do not count as credible or reliable sources. This includes your so called "VERY reliable reference", which you have pushed as evidence to your position. As much as I am willing to accept that kala namak is not halite, I'm not ready to do so without sufficient evidence and I much less willing to take the word of a commercial site, especially when what is stated goes against more authoritative sources such as governmental lab documents and authored books. Since there appears to be conflicting evidence on the source of kala namak, this article should naturally state so in its present form. In short, both you and I will not remove anything until more information appear to justify making changes.
Finally, your quote by a Dr. S. K. Aggarwal is also unverifiable, if this is an actual quote please source it. As well, it would also be nice if you will stop adding more non reliable (blogs or commercial site) or unverifiable sources to the article. Sjschen (talk) 15:24, 27 April 2010 (UTC)
