Starting on Atlantic Canada
editHey @B3251, just wanted to let you know that I'm saw your post over on WP:RB. I've started to work on the article, I've cut out a lot of stuff already and am working on the history section. There's a lot of great material out there, with a little work I can see this getting to WP:GA status. If you know of any good sources or places to find public domain photos/videos let me know and I'll add them while doing the edits. Dr vulpes (Talk) 07:35, 5 October 2024 (UTC)
- Hello @Dr vulpes, thank you for your interest in improving the article... I must have forgotten about my RB post since I made it over a year ago, haha. Still open to following through with it though. I have spent quite a while working on mostly New Brunswick-related articles by now and I have a few handy places that I usually look over such as digital UNB material so if you need any help in researching and even working on the article please feel free to reach out and I'll try my best. Thanks, B3251(talk) 10:27, 5 October 2024 (UTC)
- Sounds good! The Internet Archive has a lot of material so I'll try there and if I run into problems I'll reach out. Dr vulpes (Talk) 18:05, 5 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Dr vulpes Great work so far. May I suggest adding mentions of Jacques Cartier's voyages in the 1530s? He notably voyaged around parts of what is now Atlantic Canada, landed on Miscou Island and interacted with Indigenous peoples around the Chaleur Bay. Thanks, B3251(talk) 01:31, 8 October 2024 (UTC)
- Good idea! I'll pull some research and toss it in. I'm running into a problem where the history, geography, and economy starts to blur with the Maritime provinces. I don't want to just copy the material from that article but it's getting kind of hard to find things that focus on just that region. Dr vulpes (Talk) 03:46, 8 October 2024 (UTC)
