You are in a maze of twisty little passages, all alike.
The reason I consolidated many templates into this one was because they were related to the point that I found two of the smaller templates on most of the pages I looked at which is a good signal you need to condense something not to mention the many repeating entries in the smaller templates.--Jorfer 00:36, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
First, if you want to change the name all we have to do it move it to Template:Sustainability and Energy Development. Second, I don't think there is too much stuff on the template, since it is going on the bottom of the page which is not the most visible location, and even if there was too much, we could either auto-hide it or break the different lists into their own templates (i.e. Energy conversion has its own). Though I would rather not do that, it would still be more organized then it was beforehand.--Jorfer 00:36, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
If you preserve the merge, the name and emphasis definitely need to change.
Did you even look at the old discussion on the template before merging? Nearly a year ago there were complainints it was too big and needed to be split. A portal to encompass all of sustainability (and therefore energy) if non-existent is certainly warranted. A few relevant templates are even reasonable, but they need to be carefully focused, another criticism from the talk page, electric assist power trains have nothing to do with ecological footprints or permaculture. You've now managed to revert all of User:Behun's work to no benefit.
It doesn't matter where on the page it is, it's still clutter and bytes that have to be transmitted.
Fine I will change the name. Second, Portal:Energy covers the energy topics but that is not a substitute for having a relevant navbox on an article. Third, electric assisted power train has to do with ecological footprints as bicycles with it have a larger footprint then a regular bicycle because of their need for oil and permaculture lowers the ecological footprint of mankind, so I do not see how you can say that. Forth, Behun's work was not wasted as all I did was improve on it; it was a good starting point. Fifth, it is not clutter to have a well organized navbox to help find related articles; it actually reduces clutter by organizing what would be an incomplete and disorganized list under see also. Finally, merging reduces the amount of bytes Wikipedia has to transfer because it eliminates repetion between templates, articles, etc.--Jorfer 01:54, 13 May 2007 (UTC)

Your method for emphasis
editHi! I must say I find your method for emphasising a phrase original. I haven't seen it before (on Wikipedia at least). Cheers! Phaunt 07:38, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

Carpenter bees
editHi. Please see my comments on the talk page there. Bottom line is that if it's a "common name" then it would be in common use and it should be trivial to document its widespread occurrence other than as a search term used on three pest control pages (which is, in all honesty, about all I see using Google). In this case you can't, because it isn't in common use. My dad taught me to call carabid beetles "gooney bugs" when I was growing up, and only later did I find out that this was a name he and his brother had made up, and not a "common name" at all. Since I identify insects for a living, I get to hear all sorts of names that people learned from their parents, etc., and they do NOT all get included in Wikipedia. With evidence of common use, sure, I and any other editor will gladly accept the inclusion of ANY legitimate common name, but "wood bee" is a neologism, just like "boring bee" (which also appears on one of those pest control pages). It might not be a unique term - it's certainly an easy name for people to make up, meaning people could make it up independently, but that is not the same thing as a common name (if you want a parallel, please look at the Dobsonfly page; "dobsonfly" is their common name, although I've heard numerous people call them "pincher bugs" - but that latter name does NOT get included in Wikipedia). Doesn't the fact that you had to create a "wood bee" redirect tell you something about how uncommon the term is? Again, it's not that I don't believe that there are a handful of people who call them "wood bees", it's that this is not a common e"nough practice to include it in an encyclopedia. It'd be like going to the tarantula article and editing it to read "also called big, hairy spiders". It might be true in the literal sense, but it's trivial. - "Doesn't the fact that you had to create a "wood bee" redirect tell you something about how uncommon the term is?" No. Wikipedia of plenty of such deficiencies. --Belg4mit (talk) 15:24, 18 August 2010 (UTC)

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference
editHello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.
On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true
. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false
in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being minor in the usual way.
For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. With the script in place, you can continue with this functionality indefinitely (its use is governed by WP:MINOR). If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.
Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 19:14, 15 March 2011 (UTC)

Neutron capture
editOne more about adding absorbers and use in neutron capture good place not only control rods addings add end much but at end of article and definition first. Nice also how to make gold not only how to destroy by capture and beating out a neutron. Hints on use also for security. Maybe adding also other places like HfC from myself used for own Odin and Idun design for EPR critical point if all "boiling" UO2 should go over ramp into special ceramic bowl with sacrifice concrete only cooled under. UO2... must be flatend "quickly" doesn`t work if melting a hole and water makes much steam pressure at boiling point NaK77 -12.6° - 785° 0 bar compared normally 160bar 327.5° EPR only times 2 650° 130° reserve with NaK77 burning with air and salt but harmless not explosive to salts then added burning protection gas Xe,SF6,Ar,Ne... and stoppsand Odin/Idun.
No information about melting point and neutron absorption from Areva asked for own bowl HfC 3890° thick 10BN 2967° or Mo? rectangular flat cavities with borders between and partly holding back corium in core cavities with- out side neutrons and bowl directly under core stoppsand first only surround added. Also using high presured dense He as moderator at danger away without danger and more. On 3 steps securer EPR driving/stopping&corium handling&spread- ding for expample after A380 broke circle EPR tritium-steam out not with NaK77 and pressure loss and H2 and overpressure like Fukushima letting out there but with NaK77+stoppsand passive heat away and quick stopping chain reactions only after heat from "Zerfallsreihe". Fukushima was down to 2% after tsunami destroyed generators for after cooling not needed with Odin/Idun and stays closed > 30m and THOR design quake >>10 tsunami >>100m no danger from Thor stays closed and also opend no danger with He out water/air inout added stoppsand with new 11BN.
Actually who is the expert who could correct and expand whole article also others ? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.165.148.53 (talk) 14:19, 30 October 2011 (UTC)
Just looked at History View and article. I`m german so correction help wanted Mandray before very very very less mistakes in article changing to "separated". I see myself also later. Asking for checking content again before wrong also new added wanted.
Absorbers list was before there extended by absorber list from neutron rods confirming myself right and 2 new by myself added Mo and Yb with my email address for reference if another form needed so tell how but don`t delete because new from myself not common knowlegde before so add anyway my name for my rights Kay Uwe Böhm kayuweboehm/at)yahoo.de.
Syrtiss runs behind making problems only from netrion reflector part after delteing my reference by emailadress tried to let tantalum in- side without reference deleted by myself now telling for another reference for tantalum as reflector. Article has to be reworked also showing difference between true reflectors and just reflector if thick normally moderator like graphite and beryll and not only wolfram(tungsten) carbide also W alone works with W classical reflector material but more absorbing than tantal.
Mistake before was from one person without name June 2010 adding lead as absorber deleted right by another one because scattering(spalling) and fission in capture article on absorbing neutrons with 3He->T and 10B->Li+? nonsense not fision material ! Looks like Samarium added from Samarium article but just 149Sm coming less from fission compared to 144Sm nearly all of row absorbing at all not less so rector poison but not like in Sm article to be considered on construction better on driving because nothing posibble against but xenon to be considerd also reactor poison slowing down.
Syrthiss also deleted all at pebble bed reactor also link to new areva design and own Thor desigbn with email reference nether delteted nobody saying any- thinmg against in Ver high temperature reactor article adding also THOR design with new 11BN borone nitride iostope 11B abot same moderation like graphite and only posible reference myself because found just abot 6 months ago working longer time on burning protection with SiC introduced fiorst by myself before only against outgoings also BeO as layer or pebble but looks best 11BN breakthrough material for HTR NOT BURNABLE, melting point 2967° german source, stable and dense up to 2800° in inert gas SiC MP 2300°, not going radioactive, nearly diamond hard, not soluble in water... also only deleted form Neutron Moderator list by Syrthiss instead add contributions. I don´t have anything against recheck of material behavior after tested in wolrd hugest long time test facility nature seeing all absorbers before.
Can you add there again ? moderation also BeO/N2/O2/(H/D/T)2 as gas pressurized and important He at danger away without danger. Before CH4 changing to 14CT4 explosive.
Neutron capture fully reworked adding a lot also capture chart 10B/11B maybe to much at the end but at the end with special use hints for EPR HfC 3890° layer & stoppsand.

- That's not how Wikipedia works, you might want to familiarize yourself with the basics at German Wikipedia, and submit your edits there. If someone who is able to translate finds the information compelling, they can effectively integrate it into to English site. Either way, you sign the edit, in the comment field, or you make an account. You do not fill the article with your email address. --Belg4mit (talk) 14:44, 30 October 2011 (UTC)

The article Nathaniel Vaughn Kelso has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Subject does not meet WP:GNG; has not received any independent coverage. Having worked on Natural Earth (a public domain map dataset that does not seem to meet WP:GNG either) is not a strong claim to notability. Citation count insufficient by itself for WP:NSCHOLAR.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
