- Following an RFC, Wikipedia:Notability (species) was adopted as a subject-specific notability guideline.
- A request for comment is open to discuss whether admins should be advised to warn users rather than issue no-warning blocks to those who have posted promotional content outside of article space.
Technical news
- The Nuke feature also now provides links to the userpage of the user whose pages were deleted, and to the pages which were not selected for deletion, after page deletions are queued. This enables easier follow-up admin-actions.

Created based on GNS, which is unreliable, and the Iranian census, which reports population-counts for locations that are not only villages/towns but instead are shops/farms/bridges/etc. The FA Wiki article states that this place is uninhabited.

The article Bretz Mill, California has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Non-notable location. Based on USGS topographic maps, this appears to have been just a mill complex, and was shown as "Bretz Mill (site)" on the 1982 topo: [1]. Only very trivial mentions could be found in newspapers, mostly of Bretz Mill Campground (nearby) and Bretz Mill Condominiums (apparently unrelated). Regardless, from the satellite view [2] this is clearly just a forest work camp now and not a "community". Fails WP:GEOLAND and WP:GNG.

Mass-created article by C46, based on the Iranian census, which counts population around geographical locations that are not recognised communities but instead shops/farms/factories/bridges/pumps etc. Without any known location for this supposed village it is impossible to distinguish it from the other Shafiabad in the same district and they are potentially the same place. An FA wiki article exists, but it cites this article as its source.
