Orphaned non-free media (File:NytimesCover12122008.jpg)
editThanks for uploading File:NytimesCover12122008.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that medi--Aeron10 (talk) 14:55, 8 August 2010 (UTC)a for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:59, 17 June 2009 (UTC)
FPC
editHey there, I saw your addition of the featured picture nomination: Wikipedia:Featured picture candidates/. That nomination is quite old, and the external link posted there is not a free image, which is a requirement for featured pictures. If you have any comments or questions, feel free to respond here. Thanks! Jujutacular T · C 05:18, 21 April 2010 (UTC)
- It's not my nomination, i just happened to stumble upon it. Maybe it should be moved; Wikipedia:Featured picture candidates/ is not the best of all names. cheers --DieBuche (talk) 20:08, 21 April 2010 (UTC) Edit: Ok, seems to be taken care of.
- Indeed it's not the best name. However, there are a few problems with the nomination. First of all, only local images can be nominated to be featured here. All that was there was an external link. Secondly, the external link pointed to a Flickr page of a non-free image. Non-free images are ineligible to be featured, based on the featured picture criteria, #4. Speedy deletion of How to post things on wikipedia
editI saw your generic speedy deletion tag on the article How to post things on wikipedia. I replaced it with WP:CSD#G2, because with the title it looked like a test page to me. –Grondemar 08:51, 25 April 2010 (UTC)
Deletion tag on Mokil_atoll
editHi DieBuche. I saw that you had tagged this article - here - for deletion. However, I believe it was a reasonable redirect - which you created - and so I declined the tag. Thanks for your efforts. ceranthor 11:48, 25 April 2010 (UTC)

Why have you deleted the image "gender roles of men" on the page on gender roles
editI noticed that you have deleted the image I uploaded on the page on gender roles. The image talks about the common gender roles of men that also act as pressures on their lives, resulting in their oppression. May I ask, why you think this is npov?(Masculinity (talk) 09:41, 2 May 2010 (UTC))

editIs there a reason you need File:Krystian Zimerman 2004.jpg and File:Lumholtz's Tree-kangaroo.JPG when File:480px-Krystian Zimerman 2004.jpg and File:488px-Lumholtz's Tree-kangaroo.JPG are already at Commons? -- Ricky81682 (talk) 19:15, 9 May 2010 (UTC)

Pelagic zone image
editHi DieBuche. You replaced File:Wfm pelagic.png with the slightly simplified File:Pelagiczone.svg on a number of articles. However, if you look at how your replacement image displays on these articles, you will notice that it is now difficult to read the text describing the different zones on your revised version. Could you please change the test to a bolder version that is readible at the resolution displayed in the articles. Thanks. --Epipelagic (talk) 09:49, 21 May 2010 (UTC)

IMMAGINE&POESIA
editDear DieBuche
As you have suggested, info re criticism ( the existence of 2 art critics and reference to the critical essay in English) has been added. Now - as we have poor experience with Wikipedia rules-, we can't understand what else we have to modify. Would you please tell us what exactly we have to do ? Thanks a lot and sorry to bother you. --Aeron10 (talk) 14:55, 8 August 2010 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for September 9
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Kerning, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page DPS (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Quotation marks should not be formatted
editDieBuche, I just reverted a change of yours to David Hume where your edit summary was "use typographically correct quotes". Quotes and apostrophes, according to the Wikipedia Manual of Style, should be straight, not formatted, per MOS:QUOTEMARKS#Quotation characters and MOS:PUNCT. So whenever you edit to use "typographically correct" marks, they're actually incorrect on Wikipedia. I notice you've been doing a fair number of these edits, which I'll be undoing so the appropriate unformatted versions are restored. BlueMoonset (talk) 01:10, 8 February 2015 (UTC)
