Question from Barbara.WBH (21:03, 29 December 2024)
editHi, I'm Barbara, very nice to get to know you. Can you give me some advice on how to start the 1st edit? for example, which one I should pick among the articles. Thanks. And generally, how many and how often I should do? --Barbara.WBH (talk) 21:03, 29 December 2024 (UTC)
- @Barbara.WBH, welcome to Wikipedia! You may find help:introduction helpful. Just visit any article from a topic that you are interested in. If you find, for example, a typo or missing content, you can add them. The number of edits and how often do you edit is up to you, you can edit as much as you can, and you can edit at specified times/days. Hope that helps! Question from Thebyronbooker (03:53, 30 December 2024)
editHello there, I've submitted my first article. How do I submit a second one? --Thebyronbooker (talk) 03:53, 30 December 2024 (UTC)
- @Thebyronbooker, the way you submitted your first article should also be used for the second. I advise you to edit articles before creating them so you can understand the policies and guidelines of the encyclopedia. My biography on wikipedia
editHi Toadette, What is the decision about the topic that I wrote on Wikipedia since October 14 2024. How many months is it going to be needed for my information to be visible on google. I know it takes a lot of time since I am too notable. But please can you let me know how long is my information going to last to be visible on google? I am looking forward to hearing from you soon, Stay safe and healthy, Sandra Ndimyvette (talk) 19:43, 30 December 2024 (UTC)
- @Ndimyvette, before going anything further, what topic are you referring to? By the way, newly created articles are not indexed until 90 days passed, or a patroller marks the article as reviewed. ToadetteEdit (2025 is here) 06:36, 31 December 2024 (UTC)
- @Ndimyvette, your biography, although appears promotional and not notable per WP:NAUTHOR, is on your sandbox at User:Ndimyvette/sandbox. DRAFTS should be on the article space before it could be reviewed. Seeing such writing with unambigous telling of WP:COI, I suggest you use WP:AFC. Cheers! Safari ScribeEdits! - Hi,
- Thank you for your reply to my questions. It means if I have a lot of notability at this time my article written on wikipedia will be displayed on google. I am working with it.
- Please let me know,
- I am looking forward to hearing from you soon,
- Stay safe and healthy,
- Sandra Ndimyvette (talk) 11:21, 31 December 2024 (UTC)
- @Ndimyvette, I have reviewed the draft, and it does not meed Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, as it is not in a formal tone (neutral point of view) and is not notable enough to have a Wikipedia article (see the guideline for authors and people in general). Claiming that you are notable without bringing up sources to back up your claim is not enough. Being notable does not mean that the article will be indexed by search engines right away. It either has to pass 90 days or be reviewed in advance.
- Writing an autobiography constitutes conflict of interest and should be generally avoided. Such drafts should be submitted using the Articles for creation process. ToadetteEdit (2025 is here) 13:24, 31 December 2024 (UTC)
- Alright. I do agree. I am working on making myself notable. Thank you for your reply to my question.
- Bye
- Have a good day
- Stay safe and healthy

Question from Malhar1234 (17:44, 31 December 2024)
editHello please help me about my article "Tripura Queen Pineapple". What is the theats of large language model? I can't understand. --Malhar1234 (talk) 17:44, 31 December 2024 (UTC)
- @Malhar1234, the article Tripura Queen Pineapple appears to be written by a large language model because the only content is a single paragraph whose writing is not written in the tone expected for encyclopedic articles. Large language models are discouraged because it can bring up false or outdated information and can violate copyrights and therefore needs to be proofread by others. - Am I eligible for the role of a page movers, I want to separate many defunct electorate constituencies name from the present constituencies, because it's creating confusion. So I want to separate this pages as a defunct category and role of page movers can helps me a lot. Please give me some suggestions how I eligible for that. Malhar1234 (talk) 18:18, 31 December 2024 (UTC)
- @Malhar1234, plain no; you are definitely not eligible for page mover rights. First, you should have 3000 edits. Second, you should be block free for 6 months. Finally, you must demonstrate familiarity with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines concerning article titles, naming conventions, and pave moves in general, for example, making justified requests on the requested technical moves venue. I also failed to understand the rationale that you provided. ToadetteEdit (2025 is here) 18:31, 31 December 2024 (UTC)

Question from Malhar1234 (14:02, 5 January 2025)
editHello! I want to ask you something.
If some strong wikipedian (who have an administrative power or have some strong position), who misuse their power to pursuing their biased intention and vandalise articles. Then how we take a step against them.
Please give me your valuable knowledge about this matter. --Malhar1234 (talk) 14:02, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
- @Malhar1234, if you find anything suspicious with an editor, why not report it to WP:AN or WP:ANI or any other wp:noticeboards, so that they have their offending permissions removed, and/or be blocked? And if you see that an admin misused the right, why not bring it to Wikipedia:Administrative action review or file an Arbitration case? ToadetteEdit (2025 is here) 14:08, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
Thank you!
editYour informations help me lot in my future journey as a wikipedian. Malhar1234 (talk) 14:38, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
Administrators' newsletter – January 2025
editNews and updates for administrators from the past month (December 2024).
- Following an RFC, Wikipedia:Notability (species) was adopted as a subject-specific notability guideline.
- A request for comment is open to discuss whether admins should be advised to warn users rather than issue no-warning blocks to those who have posted promotional content outside of article space.
- The Nuke feature also now provides links to the userpage of the user whose pages were deleted, and to the pages which were not selected for deletion, after page deletions are queued. This enables easier follow-up admin-actions.
- Following the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections, the following editors have been elected to the Arbitration Committee: CaptainEek, Daniel, Elli, KrakatoaKatie, Liz, Primefac, ScottishFinnishRadish, Theleekycauldron, Worm That Turned.
- A New Pages Patrol backlog drive is happening in January 2025 to reduce the number of unreviewed articles and redirects in the new pages feed. Sign up here to participate!
