File:MacBook (2015) gold.svg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Owleaf (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

Violates WP:NFCC#1, obviously replaceable with a user-authored photo of the product B (talk) 00:00, 18 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This is a user-authored SVG rendering, as seen here. I have received explicit permission from the author via email correspondence, although it appears as though he hasn't uploaded it himself. I can send you a copy of the email if you wish, or I can direct you to where you may contact the author themselves. Owleaf (talk) 06:20, 18 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
As long as that permission is only valid for Wikipedia, as you indicated on the image page, and doesn't constitute a fully free license for re-use by others, it is unfortunately quite irrelevant for us. You declared the image to be non-free; if that's what it is, it's unuseable. Fut.Perf. 07:23, 18 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Owleaf: Please see WP:CONSENT for the kind of permission that Wikipedia requests, the statement of permission that we would ask to have on file from the author, and the email address where it should be sent. If the author would like to donate this image under licensing terms acceptable to Wikipedia, that page has the instructions. WP:COPYREQ gives a more detailed overview and may be useful as well. If the permission is submitted, then I or another OTRS volunteer will look at it and tag the image appropriately. --B (talk) 00:31, 21 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
