Wikimedia New York City invites you to attend its monthly WikiWednesday Salon on Wednesday, May 20 from 7:00 pm - 8:30 PM. No experience of anything at all is required. All are welcome!

All attendees are subject to Wikimedia NYC's Code of Conduct.

How to connect: To join just follow this url: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/89431749104

If you have not used Zoom before, you will be prompted to download its launcher program. It works on PC, Mac, and Linux. If necessary, you can also connect through Zoom's iOS or Android app, which you can find on the zoom.us website. As a last resort, you can also dial in by phone, calling (646)876-9923 and enter the meeting ID (894 3174 9104). Please keep in mind that if you dial in by phone you will be able to listen, but will miss all visuals.

    Online event proposed

    Request - can Wiki NYC make a commitment to organize a symposium after the model of the COVID-19 symposium for this online event?

    expectation: if Wiki NYC can make a commitment like this, it is not so much, but that commitment can be enough for others to crowdsource an online conference

    imagined entry level conference: an amount of online activity, over 3 days, equal to about 5 symposiums

    This is not like an in person conference, but now is time for a compromise, and maybe this is enough to make a fun event

    as always, everyone looks to Wiki NYC to coordinate a response to the conference planning
