The Bucchich's goby (Gobius bucchichi) is a coastal fish of the Gobiidae family[1]. Demersal subtropical marine species, up to 10.0 cm maximal length, usually 3.0-3.8 cm. Sexually mature at one year, has 3.4-3.8 cm long.
Range
Widespread in the Eastern Atlantic and Mediterranean Sea. In the Black Sea occurrs near the coasts of Bulgaria (near the Cape Maslen nos), Ukraine (near Otlesh and Sevastopol), Russia (near Anapa, Novorosiysk, and Sochi), and Georgia (near Sukhumi)[2].
Ecology
Habits inshore over sand and mud with seagrass, taking refuge among tentacles of the snakelocks anemone Anemonia sulcata. Also found in inshore pools. Its diet includes polychaetes, crustaceans (mostly amphipods), mollusks, and algae.
