Ida Ljungqvist was Playboy's Playmate of the Month for March 2008. Ljungqvist was born in Tanzania to a Swedish father and a Tanzanian mother, making her the first playmate born in Africa. She was discovered by 2007 Playmate of the Year Sara Jean Underwood at a Bebe clothing boutique on Rodeo Drive.[2]
Due to her father's work for UNICEF, Ljungqvist traveled much as a child: in Africa she has lived in Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia, South Africa, Zimbabwe; in Asia, in Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand; in Europe, in France, the U.K., Sweden, and Denmark, and currently, in the United States, in California. She speaks English, Swedish, and Swahili.[2]
Ljungqvist has earned a degree in fashion design and marketing, and plans to study economics.
In December 2007 Ljungqvist married Joshua Lang. Lang filed for divorce in September 2008; in November 2008 MSNBC reported there was a custody struggle between the two of them over their pet chihuahua.[3] Their is some very interesting information and discoveries about the Playboy Playmates ex husband. Joshua Reed Lang was born March 29, 1982 in the San Francisco area where he has lived and grew up. He is the great grandson of Herbert Lang who was very successful in the Gold industry (during the mid/late 1800's) and who also was the first manager of the California Bears football team at the university and close friends with Herbert Hoover (The 31st President of the United States) who was the manager for Stanford. [4]
His family were/are freemasons. The last name "Lang" is Scottish and he is from the Scottish rite which were/are Masons. (which our founding fathers and many U.S. Presidents were/are also)[5]
He married Ida Ljungqvist (the Playboy playmate) in 2008 after dating her for almost 5 years. They had a custody battle over their chihuahua in November 2008.
