  • curprev 23:1423:14, 31 October 2024 Myceteae talk contribs 24,156 bytes −587 Removed thunderbird due to inadequate sourcing establishing this as a cryptid. The Skept. Inq. reference dismisses attempts by a couple proponents to recast thunderbirds as "cryptids." The Atlas Obscura reference is a sponsored post that clearly does not meet WP standards as an independent, reliable source.
  • curprev 23:1023:10, 31 October 2024 Myceteae talk contribs 24,743 bytes −440 Removed Lusca due to inadequate citation and WP:UNDUE. The inline citation is to an article on megalodon that only makes brief reference to Lusca, stating that it is “depicted as a giant squid” in a video game despite being “a creature from Caribbean mythology." This is in contrast with megalodon's status as a cryptid with fossil evidence of existence. The main article on Lusca also fails to clearly establish it as a cryptid.
  • curprev 22:0522:05, 31 October 2024 Myceteae talk contribs 25,183 bytes −454 Removed cryptoterrestrial due to lack of citation, WP:UNDUE, and possible original research. The linked article section Mac_Tonnies#Cryptoterrestrial_hypothesis suggests one obscure blogger came up with this idea. No support is provided for the purported location, the association with Nazis, or the appearance depicted.
  • curprev 19:4819:48, 31 October 2024 Edelgardvonhresvelg talk contribs m 25,637 bytes +156 Added images for megalodeon and thylacine in addition to adding another location for alleged surviving thylacine populations. Many believe that the thylacine could still be extant in unexplored regions of Papua New Guinea, as it was formerly found there. Tag: Visual edit
  • curprev 19:3919:39, 31 October 2024 Myceteae talk contribs 25,481 bytes −86 Aquatic or semi-aquatic: Removed Mamlambo per WP:UNDUE related to lack of citation here and very weak sourcing in main article indicating this is regarded as a cryptid
  • curprev 18:4918:49, 31 October 2024 Myceteae talk contribs 25,567 bytes +40 Added note list and made minor edit to explanatory footnote at megalodon
  • curprev 18:4318:43, 31 October 2024 Myceteae talk contribs 25,527 bytes +1,595 List: Megalodon entry changes: Added explanatory footnote to binomial species name and styled it italics per convention and MOS. Added two inline citations. Admittedly not the world's best sources but they are independent of crypto proponents and establish megalodon is considered by some to be a "cryptid."
