The Japanese and Europe: Economic and Cultural Encounters is a 1996 book by Marie Conte-Helm, published by Athlone Press. The book discusses Japanese investment and settlement in Europe,[1] with focus on Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, and the United Kingdom, that began in the 1980s.[2]

There are 28 pages of photographs and illustrations. Ian Nish, who wrote a book review for Asian Affairs, praised them, saying they were "well-chosen".[3]

Reception

Nish stated that the book was "a pleasure to read".[3]
