Matt Woods is an American politician who has served as a member of the Alabama House of Representatives since November 8, 2022. He represents Alabama's 13th House district.
Electoral history
[edit]He was elected on November 8, 2022, in the 2022 Alabama House of Representatives election against Libertarian opponent Mark Davenport. He assumed office the next day on November 9, 2022.
Education
[edit]Woods graduated with an Associate degree in liberal arts and sciences from Bevill State Community College in 2002 and with a Bachelor's degree in business administration from Auburn University in 2004.[2] He graduated from Oakman High School in 2000. His father, Jim "Jimmy" Woods was a coal miner, but got laid off. He started a company with his son, Jasper Auto Sales.[3]
