Meghan Kilcoyne is an American politician in Massachusetts representing 12th Worcester district in the Massachusetts House of Representatives.[1][2]
Early life and education
[edit]Kilcoyne grew up in Sterling, Massachusetts and went to Houghton Elementary School and Chocksett Middle School. She graduated from Wachusett Regional High School and Stonehill College with a B.A. in History.[3]
Political career
[edit]Kilcoyne first won election in 2020, defeating Republican Susan E. Smiley and succeeding fellow Democrat Harold Naughton Jr., who she had worked for since 2012.[3] She is the first woman elected to the 12th Worcester district.[4] Kilcoyne won a three-way Democratic primary in 2020.[5]
In 2022, Kilcoyne won reelection over Republican Michael Vulcano, securing 60 percent of the general election vote.[6] She was unopposed in the primary election.
