Michael Benjamin Washington is an American actor known for his roles in American Auto, 100 Questions, and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.[1] He has also performed in Broadway productions of The Boys in the Band, Funny Girl, Mamma Mia!, La Cage aux Folles,[2] and others.[3][4]

Early and personal life

Washington was born in Dallas, Texas.[citation needed] He is a YoungArts alumnus.[5] In 1997, he was named a Presidential Scholar of the Arts as part of the 1997 U.S Presidential Scholars Program.[6] Afterwards, he received a Bachelors of Fine Arts from New York University Tisch School of the Arts, with a Journalism minor.[7]
