Work On This

[edit]

Could someone work on this? Thanks. Josen 15:47, 13 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why do the two pictures show what looks to be a different fish? Prysorra 10:25, 19 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know why. Josen 15:59, 28 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

These are old comments, and I'm not sure what pictures are being referred to. But Pacific salmon go through considerable physical changes between life stages, and show significant sexual dimorphism. A juvenile looks very different from an adult, fish in the ocean look very different from than during breeding, and males look very different from females during breeding. Josen is right that the article needs a lot of work; most importantly, citations! Maybe someday someone will throw themselves into this and the other Pacific salmon?
