WikiEdu class project

[edit]

This entry is part of a class project at East Tennessee State University's program in Bluegrass, Old-Time, and Roots Music Studies, through the WikiEdu organization, led locally by Dr. Lee Bidgood, with research and writing work done by student editors. Notability?

[edit]

Can anyone articulate the rationale for NOT considering Ed Snodderly notable? He is a key figure in Americana music. His lyrics were permanently inscribed onto the interior of the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville, TN, incorporated with a permanent architectural and sculptural element in this iconic and genre-central building / institution. He had an on-screen credited role in the major motion picture "Oh Brother, Where art thou"...! His work has been critically acclaimed, and his work with the Down Home venue spread through the New York Times. Bidgoodl (talk) 15:17, 12 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

...and per the alert message, I would say that the sources cited here were produced independently of the subject - they are published books from reputable publishers, the New York Times, etc. Bidgoodl (talk) 16:19, 16 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Down Home

[edit]

Ed Snodderly, along with others, opened one of the greatest small-town old-timey music venues in America! It was a shame he did not have a Wikipedia article about him already. Thank you for making one!
