duplicate reference definitions

[edit]

I recently edited this page to relieve the duplicate reference error it had. The page defined a reference that was also defined with the same name (but different content) in the expaneded text of a referenced template. After some subsequent edits, there are again duplicate references on the page. I can't find the source of the reference, but the page again appears in Category:Pages with duplicate reference names.

Does anyone know what the new cause of the referencing problem is? I'd like to fix it. -- Mikeblas (talk) 03:01, 16 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I think I've got it sorted. {{Parenteral potencies of estrogens}} and {{Oral potencies of estrogens}} both defined references named "KnörrBeller2013_". In this case, Wikipedia seems to mark the referneces as duplicates, even though they seem to have the same internal payload. I renamed the reference in {tl|Parenteral potencies of estrogens}}, and that seems to have solved the problem.
The issue affected both this article and the Estradiol valerate article. -- Mikeblas (talk) 03:12, 16 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
