Royal residence

I didn't add this description but I did check it against the provided source (of which I've just updated the URL to a live link). I had to dig pretty thoroughly to find a description, but it contains this in the glossary section: "Government House: Her Majesty’s official residences in Canada, situated in Ottawa and most provincial capitals and occupied by the Queen’s representative. Government House in Ottawa is known as Rideau Hall." Thus the official residence of the lieutenant governor is by definition the official residence of the monarch. I don't know if that makes it a "royal residence" for categorization purposes, but that's what I found. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 17:01, 22 April 2024 (UTC)
- There's a difference between being an "official residence of the monarch when in Canada" and a royal residence. Can you find any sources that actually use the term "royal residence" to describe a Government House in the Commonwealth?
