I think we should turn this into a table with the following fields:

I suggest deleting it. The article 'is a list of all forts in New France built by the French government or French Chartered companies in what later became Canada, Saint Pierre and Miquelon, and the United States.' However, Fort Esperance was founded in 1787 by the North West Company, a fur trading business headquartered in Montreal - then British territory. Alekksandr (talk) 21:19, 29 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
