The Dutch (border) City of Nijmegen is also called Rijksstad (Reichsstadt) though not Free-, the date would be 1230, based on Aachen's chapter, though it already held city rights since Roman times. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.159.74.100 (talk) 22:31, 28 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Kitzingen, Franconia

[edit]

Kitzingen was a free city at one point, though as yet I don't have the precise dates. Seighean (talk)

numbering

[edit]

I don't like to number lists that are not inherently sequences; the cities listed here don't follow one another except in alphabetical order. Is there a good reason for numbering them? —Tamfang (talk) 21:04, 27 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
