His reign in Kelantan has not ended.

[edit]

His reign in Kelantan has not ended, even though he is now the King of Malaysia.

This means he is both King of Malaysia and Sultan of Kelantan. - (119.224.80.18 (talk) 11:34, 14 December 2016 (UTC))[reply]

Impressive

[edit]

This article is impressive for showing what an up-to-date encyclopedia Wikipedia is. It was only on the news tonight (January 6 2019) that this king has abdicated, and already it is mentioned in the article. Vorbee (talk) 18:11, 6 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Marriage and issue dispute

[edit]

An editor, User:Fritzroymaple pointed out that the Kelantan royal office has not say anything about the marriage of Muhammad V to Oksana, and has not officially announce their son/marriage. You can read the discussion here. This dispute will start an edit war if we dont agree for the same thing. So, lets get a consensus. Do you support or oppose putting the issue name in the article? Why? Froswo (talk) 08:07, 8 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Froswo: @Fritzroymaple: About issue I'm not sure, but about the marriage, is there anyone who doubts that they actually married? --Yomal Sidoroff-Biarmskii (talk) 07:13, 17 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Sidoroff-B: I guess by the effort some user put to erase Oksana's name in the infobox, there are people who does not believe it, despite the video and pictures evidence. The rule of thumb in Malaysia's newspaper regarding royalty is, if the rumours are untrue, you cannot print it. And royal offices are quick to shut down rumours especially for something like this. For the office not to say anything, I take that it is true they are married and they have a son together. Not sure about the divorce though. Froswo (talk) 09:41, 17 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

step down

[edit]

"In an unprecedented move, Sultan Muhammad V became the first Yang di-Pertuan Agong to step down from the throne, effective 6 January 2019 while his term should have ended on 12 December 2021.[3]"

This sentence is repeated twice. As a reader I would love some clarification as to the reasons behind this stepping down. (Was there collaboration between him and his son?) Kauri0.o (talk) 21:03, 6 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
