more Silesian or East German congresses

[edit]

There were probably a lot more of them. I found one Silesian congress mentioned for 1919 in Liegnitz. The Silesian congresses go probably back to the pre-WWI-period. The Gleiwitz 1927 event was officially called (tournament book by August Babel, Der Schachkongress in Gleiwitz) the "XIV. chess congress". The later congresses were probably (?) seen as the continuation of the earlier East German chess federation congresses. --DaQuirin (talk) 13:30, 5 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
