Organs with a 64' stop
[edit]I've seen several articles that claim there are only two organs in the world with a 64' stop. There is an organ in Salt Lake City, UT, USA (The Schoenstein Organ at the Conference Center) that also has a 64 foot speaking stop. Is there a reason that organ is typically excluded when discussing organs with a 64' stop? Or does this article just need to be updated? 170.72.62.226 (talk) 23:04, 13 August 2016 (UTC)
- The Schoenstein Organ doesn't actually have a complete 64' octave of 12 notes, just its 4 highest notes with the shortest pipes (G-sharp, A, A-sharp, B, all under 40'). The 64' stops in Sydney and Atlantic City are complete, down to the full-length pipe for low C. Sorry nobody answered this question for 8 years! —173.56.111.206 (talk) 08:56, 1 December 2024 (UTC)
