It seems as though a lot of effort has gone into creating bio's on Former Players on this page, however I feel as though this is cluttering up the site with unnecessary information, some of which is duplicated further down in "Famous and notable players", some players still are still on the clubs books. I propose that rather than deleting all this information, that it should be moved onto a seperate page, and that season by season stats to be formed into a table to consolidate the space. I feel that non-essential items on this page should be removed. Electioneerer 14:17, 28 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Definitely. I would say the statistics (top goalscorers, cup records etc) as well as the former players info need to go in separate articles. Bigmike 12:58, 9 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yep I agree Philburton 14:47, 9 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Agree with the above. How about separate articles on seasons (see Torquay United F.C. Seasons for example, feel free to copy and adapt the code) and records. I assume that the former players section comes straight from matchday programmes as most I've seen recently have this sort of thing. These players should have their own pages, so the details should not be on this article. WikiGull 12:19, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I've started moving out some of the player biogs into the players' own articles. --Jameboy 00:51, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Complete Rewrite

[edit]

I hope to spend some time in October doing a major re-write of this page which is, to say the least, a bit messy! Does anybody have any recommendations of good WP football club articles which could be used as a crib-sheet? Fooey-fooey-flop-chops 07:59, 8 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

These are all very useful suggestions! Fooey-fooey-flop-chops 19:05, 8 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Walsall fc badge.png

[edit]

Image:Walsall fc badge.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Martin O'Connor nationality/flag

[edit]

I've edited the staff list to include the newly appointed manager and assistant manager, I put the England flag as his nationality however he was a Cayman Islands international. Should it be left as England or changed to the Cayman Islands? TheDave123 (talk) 12:01, 20 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
