Telecom Equipment Manufacturers Association is India's oldest association with 48500 members and agreements worldwide with 74 organizations. It represents the service providers,manufacturers,Innovators and Exporters from India's Telecom sector for around 30 years. President of India appoints Chairman of the Board.
Background
[edit]Telecom Equipment Manufacturers Association is a team of Telecom Equipment Exporters who have united[1] to jointly develop products and identify their worldwide markets.[2] The association was started 30 years back for representing the whole of telecom industry consisting of Innovators,Exporters, Manufacturers and Service Providers of telecom related products.[3] The board frames the policies relating to telecom sector to be implemented by Government.[4][5]
