  • ... that St Gregory's Church, Sudbury has the head of Archbishop Simon Sudbury (pictured), beheaded by a mob in 1381, preserved a niche in the vestry? Source: "Head of Archbishop Simon of Sudbury (Cl4) beheaded by mob in Wat Tylers rebellion 1381, preserved in niche in vestry" [1]

  • Hi Alansplodge, review follows: article creatdd 19 June; article is well written and cited inline throughout to reliable sources; I didn't spot any issues with overly close paraphrasing from a spot check of the sources; hooks are interesting (ALT0 is especially so), mentioned in the article and check out to sources cited; a QPQ has been completed. My only comment is that Pevsner does not mention the height of the font cover which is described as "exceptionally tall" in the article. I won't hold up the nomination for it and the cover certainly looks exceptionally tall from the photo, but probably should be sourced - Dumelow (talk) 07:01, 28 June 2021 (UTC)
  • Alansplodge, I added the word "mummified" before "head" in your original hook when promoting it. Please let me know if this isn't acceptable. MeegsC (talk) 20:52, 13 July 2021 (UTC)
