Good idea AgainErick, we needed these, now I'm looking to create one for civs --Andersmusician $ 21:24, 19 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. We do need one for civs indeed and besides that i think we need an infobox for archaeological sites, but i think it's not in my league to create one apart from one with only the basic facts, like a reference to site and civilisation. Maybe we should ask someone from the archaelogical project for info. AgainErick 00:51, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Potential archaeological site?

[edit]

Could the site at this location: http://www.wikimapia.org/#lat=-12.6975413&lon=-72.7345857&z=19&l=0&m=s&v=9 be of archaeological significance?

It is a curiously regular space on the summit of an isolated 2400m mountain not far from the classic Incan sites.

Within the light coloured, apparently open, space it is possible to discern 2 rectangular areas. A slightly larger rectangle to the south, and a square of similar width attached to its northern side.

Does anyone know whether this site is a known archaeological site? If so, what is its name and significance? Should it be added to this template?
