Ok, so I've been gone for a few months after a brief spurt on the heels of another long absence. I have been pretty busy during that period and couldn't spend too much time here, but hopefully now I should be able to participate a bit more.

...and back again

[edit]
Well, that's good! I must be getting into the habit of being the first to welcome you back every time... --Illythr (talk) 23:52, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
Hopefully, yes. :-) --Illythr (talk) 00:08, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

History of Moldova

[edit]

I think you are wrong. Officially there is no country called "Moldova". The official name of the country is "Republic of Moldova". This name has been agreed upon by the government and the United Nations Organization. In English, the title of the article "History of Moldova" is absurd, as officially there is no existing country having the name of Moldova. The title to which you reverted makes it sound as if Moldova is an imaginary country of a Harry Potter or Star Wars novel. Afil (talk) 17:44, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

...for the amelioration of Controversy over national identity in Moldova, nu şovǎi sǎ ameliorezi şi textul sau stilul, fiindcǎ eu nu-s bun în englezǎ. Cu bine, --Spiridon MANOLIU (talk) 16:09, 23 August 2008 (UTC)

Buna ziua,

[edit]

Moldova again

[edit]

Good morning,

Xasha vrea ca alfabetul actual (rusesc, readaptat) sa fie singurul alfabet chirilic mentionat in articole. Iata nota :

[1]

Cu bine, --Spiridon MANOLIU (talk) 09:36, 11 September 2008 (UTC)

Some observations:

1.By tradition, admins don't intervene as admins in content disputes.
2.You should not believe everything Bonaparte say. My name is obviously Alexander (actually Alexandru), but I'm certainly not from Balti.
3.I can discuss with anybody. (Of course, when someone comes with arguments such as "Moldovan ethnics shouldn't call themselves Moldovans because they discriminate the ethnic Russian and Ukrainian inhabitants of Moldova")
4.Acting as a meatpuppet for Bonaparte, a block-on-sight banned user, certainly doesn't stregthen your position.
5.The article you created is a nice essay, and I'm sure it'l be accepted and published by Altermedia. But Wikipedia needs encyclopedic articles, and that isn't one.
6.I understand both Romanian and French. But, again by tradition, is it considered polite to write in English on the English language Wikipedia or provide a translation in English.Xasha (talk) 11:59, 11 September 2008 (UTC)

Suspension of admin privileges due to inactivity

[edit]

Following a community discussion in June 2011, consensus was reached to provisionally suspend the administrative privileges of users who have been inactive for one year, meaning administrators who have made neither any edits nor any logged actions in over one year. As a result of this discussion, your administrative privileges have been removed pending your return. If you wish to have these privileges reinstated, please post to the Wikipedia:Bureaucrats' noticeboard and the userright will be restored per the re-sysopping process (i.e., as long as the attending bureaucrats are reasonably satisfied that your account has not been compromised and that your inactivity did not have the effect of evading scrutiny of any actions which might have led to sanctions). This removal of access is procedural only, and not intended to reflect negatively upon you in any way. We wish you the best in future endeavors, and thank you for your past administrative efforts. RL0919 (talk) 22:21, 9 July 2011 (UTC)

  • (In context, but not in response to the above) It would be nice to be able to welcome you back once again, you know. You are one of the few editors I genuinely regret not having around anymore. --illythr (talk) 00:33, 31 July 2011 (UTC)

Notice of change

[edit]

Hello. You are receiving this message because of a recent change to the administrator policy that alters what you were told at the time of your desysopping. The effect of the change is that you will not longer be able to request restoration of the tools because of your prior inactivity. You have until December 30, 2012 to request restoration or else the policy will prevent you from doing so in the future; you would need to seek a new WP:RFA. Until December 30, you can file a request at WP:BN for review by the crats. Thank you. MBisanz talk 04:22, 3 December 2012 (UTC)
