[edit]

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Names of the Caspian Sea. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - Caspian_Sea#Etymology. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Caspian_Sea#Etymology - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Rorshacma (talk) 18:46, 8 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • the article created should remain separate because the Caspian sea has 45 names and it is not possible to write about all this name in the article of the Caspian sea.please look how it is possible to write this article from persian weki into [1]
  • about the different name of Caspian sea in the Caspian sea . the names need its own page.as it has in the persian page
Do you seriously believe that people in Europe call the sea Philip, William, Jackson or Morgan? You need to provide a reliable source, if not several reliable sources, for such a ridiculous and fanciful claim. I note that the only source that you provided was written by your friend / alter ego, Dr Ajam. Bazonka (talk) 08:39, 21 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Davazdah Rokh, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Khorasan. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Recent deletions in Qanat

[edit]

Hi there - I'm concerned about the large-scale deletions you made recently in the article qanat. You failed to provide an edit summary; could you explain your purpose here, perhaps? --Floatjon (talk) 11:14, 8 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Zibad, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Marv and Khorasan. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Sarv Zibad moved to draftspace

[edit]

Hi. You made some minor categorization mistakes in that draft, which prompted a question on the Help Desk and I had a look at the draft.

It is completely understandable that the first draft of an article is not quite right, or that there are spelling/grammar mistakes. However, as it stands the article has more fundamental problems:

  1. The "his rebellion" section states that he was part of a power struggle around 1777, but the "early life" section indicates he moved to Baghdad under Omar Pasha; according to our article Omar Pasha was governor of Baghdad in 1857-1859. (Unless it is a different Omar Pasha?)
  2. None of the seven persons listed under the disambiguation page Abdullah Pasha died in 1777

Notice that I have next to zero knowledge of Ottoman or Iraqi history, so if I can spot those problems, clearly the article is not good enough for mainspace yet.

Considering other posts on your talk page, I would ask you to please refrain from creating articles in the main space. Use the WP:AFC process instead once you are satisfied with the quality of the draft. TigraanClick here to contact me 15:55, 6 April 2021 (UTC) I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. –Novem Linguae (talk) 03:34, 13 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring

[edit]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution

[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Basra into Draft:Mohammed Ajam. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 13:00, 3 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If you would like to help us improve this process, please consider leaving us some feedback.

Thanks again, and happy editing!

Your draft article, Draft:Cypress of Zibad

[edit]

Hello, Basp1. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Cypress of Zibad".
