Barnstar / Ad
[edit]I don't mind Ad, it is simpler :p though the first time I saw it, I was like..? WTF? But thanks for the star, and lets hope it makes it through its ACR. --Admrb♉ltz (t • c • log) 00:33, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
Highway copyedit
[edit]Hi CL, Sorry to say I'm burned out on highway copyedits for a while. I've done five in the last few weeks. I'd suggest trying the WP:PRV volunteer list or recruiting an editor from one of the highway projects. My best. Finetooth (talk) 01:31, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
SR-151
[edit]OK
- The name, thats cool
- dash - I have seen it with and with out dashes through out UTSH articles, we do use the dash then?
- I listed the two non-SR interchanges because in the route log they were listed as "federal aid routes" which I figured would be important for a major intersections list
- And you meddled with my exit list, I was using the junction boxes from the USRD article templates section
--Admrb♉ltz (t • c • log) 12:05, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
- Re the exit list, okay, that works. The federal aid routes I guess is fine too, I just was doing a quick scan of the highway log. (Hey at least UTs are easy, but WA's highway log is 1 big 2000 page file, but there is a lot more info, like the speed limit, number of lanes, etc). --Admrb♉ltz (t • c • log) 20:20, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
- Yea, but we are back on track now at least. --Admrb♉ltz (t • c • log) 20:26, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
Yay, go us :-p --Admrb♉ltz (t • c • log) 20:33, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
That works - I was hesitant on the split of the I-15 interchange, so thats not a big issue, and the AADT section was a bit wordy, thanks for clearing it up.

[edit]Thanks for the heads-up. I added the green icons to both. I'm avoiding the complication of "A" class to keep my already busy page from getting busier. I really to see these articles succeed. Think shes ready for WP:FAC? --Admrb♉ltz (talk) 04:53, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
- I have to ask since we are equal contributers to the article. If I do end up taking her to FAC, care to co-nom? --Admrb♉ltz (talk) 03:02, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
- I planned on it :), and sure you were a co-contributor, as with out your info, then there would be no ga or a class SR-68. --Admrb♉ltz (talk) 03:09, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
a couple quick things...
[edit]care to take a peek at Michigan highway system now and make a few suggestions on the talk page? The article always had a map in it. I'm hoping to get a newer, better one though. Also last night I was on an unstable WiFi connection while working on the M-22 article. I wanted to make sure that at least I could get the GAN stuff done with my laptop. iPhones don't have copy and paste so nominations are much easier to start on my laptop. I can edit articles on my phone. I built M-22's junction list on night on my phone out of boredom. Soon Charter should be finally installing my cable and Internet service here and I will be online in my own apartment. Imzadi1979 (talk) 17:21, 12 September 2008 (UTC) (posted by iPhone)

Thanks. For the record, I knew US 491 wouldn't make it for some time. It was getting pretty beat up in the nomination process. Also, for the record, I'm debating re-doing the article, yes it passed FA, but were I to write the article today, I'd do it differently with the stuff I've since learned. However, voting is going on for Utah State Route 128 for April 6th, and so far so good. What are you up to lately, still doing vandalism revert duty? (a truly noble task) or back to article work? One final comment, I hope you know I wasn't attacking your efforts when I said the I-15 article needed work, but the history section of the most important highway in Utah is a single paragraph and tagged for cleanup =-) I know you've worked hard to improve many articles.Dave (talk) 05:23, 1 April 2009 (UTC)

FrontRunner N/S
[edit]Well if its anything like Sounder commuter rail in Seattle, which is a very similar setup, they will be separated at SL Central. But Sounder only runs "commute" hour trains. They may be the same line and if we hear that its going to go that way I can fix the s-line templates and such not to reflect this, but I doubt UTA will do that...
And trust me, I am not a fan of them truncating the Sandy/Salt Lake Line to Arena, I live about a mile from Ball Park and use to go all the way to Central Station to catch FrontRunner. I don't mind for gateway trips though, we use to get off at Arena, we can do it again. Planetarium was just a bit more convenient. --Admrboltz (talk) 23:22, 25 August 2009 (UTC)
- Or how you have to switch trains at Ogden to get to Pleasant View (only 3 trains each way am/pm)... I'm pretty sure they will do something stupid. That and the fact that most Utah County people won't use it. They don't use masstransit. Hell they are just now expanding their section of I-15. --Admrboltz (talk) 23:28, 25 August 2009 (UTC)
- Well hold off on your praise of UTA for the Sandy/Univ line - its green on the new map. The same color as the Mid-Jordan line. ON the printed schedule map it says "service past Murray is temporary" which means that it will be a mid-jordan / university line for the residents of Day Break... And yeah, the Pleasant View thing is a joke, but I can understand some, it is a shared trackage with UP, and they don't want to see something like Metrolink in CA with that last crash they had (which humorously enough Metrolink is leasing some of our Comet trains, still wrapped in UTA markings :p --Admrboltz (talk) 01:43, 26 August 2009 (UTC)
- Well from what I have seen the Airport line will terminate at Arena as well, and connect w/ frontrunner at a new station on North temple street that FrontRunner will service once its built... --Admrboltz (talk) 02:05, 26 August 2009 (UTC)
- Well the Airport line will run down N Temple and the state has that office complex around Redwood and N Temple so a lot of them will use it I think. And I'll use it to go to the airport, I hate having to try to catch the 550... --Admrboltz (talk) 02:25, 26 August 2009 (UTC)

SR-201 GAC
[edit]Good Luck at GAC. I hope you don't mind. I was searching for sources to support the earlier trails being routed along 2100st south. My intent was not to step on any toes, rather have backup sources just in case. I did find some good sources and added them in. I did not replace Dan Stober's website, but rather added content to clarify and back up what he said. I hope you don't mind.
I do like the work you've done to the article. I especially like that it now focuses on SR-201's past as far as the general public is concerned, and not just the state legislature. Good luck! Dave (talk) 07:46, 16 January 2010 (UTC)
- Congratulations. Thanks for the barnstar, although I think you deserve the credit. You just jabbed me in the butt a bit to dig through some old maps. Thanks though, I needed the jab; I've found my motivation level dropping as of late, that was a help to get back into it.Dave (talk) 07:41, 4 February 2010 (UTC)

WW bug
[edit]If you check the leaderboard for a blog update, be advised that there's a bug in the stats it's reporting. The categories and the assessment log are up to date, but the chart the assessment bot generates is not updating, meaning Rschen's bot is being fed the wrong data. The MI data is 4 days out of date on that chart, NY is 10 days old, UT is over 2 weeks old. I only discovered this because I have a spreadsheet where I'm tracking MI's assessments from the template I added to the top of the MI categories, like Category:Start-Class Michigan road transport articles, and that template has live numbers. My WW number and Rschen's don't match. I have 3.317 (or 3.320 with the CDH subproject added in) vs. his 3.369. I've reported the bug to the WP 1.0 Team, finding out that there are other projects that's this bug is affecting too. I thought that I'd let you know in case you went up update the blog. Imzadi1979 (talk) 07:45, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, I noticed. I was going to update the blog last night then saw the SR-201 GA hasn't yet been added to the assessment. I suppose I'll post a notice on the blog stating the delay. Thank you for clarifying this. CL (T · C) — 17:59, 6 February 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

UTA / FrontRunner / TRAX
[edit]Multiple items...
First, LOVE you system maps!
Second, just about the time you got Pleasant View removed from the FrontRunner maps, its back again.
Third, what do you know about the "North Temple Bridge/Guadalupe" FrontRunner/TRAX Station? UTA is frequently inconsistent with its nomenclature. Is “North Temple” or “North Temple Bridge” the name of the lower FrontRunner Station and “Guadalupe” the name of the upper TRAX Station?
Fourth, with a West Valley Central and Murray Central (and not counting the new stations south that are sometimes called Orem Central and Provo Central) we would highly recommend that the station associated with the Salt Lake Intermodal Hub be referred to as “Salt Lake Central” instead of simply “Central Station” to minimize confusion.
Fifth, regarding your claim:
"Ogden Intermodal Center" is used by no one, including UTA maps / station announcements
While we cannot speak for station announcements and, as indicated on the Wikipedia page for the station in question, UTA is inconsistent what it calls the station, we don’t know the basis of the claim it “is used by no one”. The current UTA FrontRunner Route 750 web page refers to it as “Ogden Intermodal Center”, the current and future UTA TRAX & FrontRunner maps both show “Ogden Transit Center”, the current and future UTA FrontRunner schedules both list “Ogden Intermodal Center”, the UTA bus route web pages refer to it as the “Ogden Intermodal Center”, the UTA bus route schedules list “Ogden Intermodal Center”, the UTA bus route maps show “Ogden Transit Center”, and Ogden City’s website calls it the “Ogden Transit Center”. (We have to wonder how long the previous list would be if “someone” used the name instead of just “Ogden Station”?)
Beyond the aforementioned examples, it is desirable to reinforce the concept that is not just another UTA transit center (which probably deserve a combined Wikipedia page as well for the non-TRAX/FrontRunner tranist centers). It currently includes at least two major, non-UTA transportation providers (Greyhound Lines and Amtrak, via Thruway bus service), and strong potential for more, including Amtrak trains. (Yes, we know that technically, even if Amtrak resumes the Pioneer train route, it would stop at the “Union Station” rather than the “Ogden Intermodal Transit Center”, but it is certainly “close enough for government work”. However, that in and of itself is another reason to create a greater distinction between and correctly labeling of the two stations.) Moreover, several of the local hotels and other shuttle service providers regularly serve the station (unlike nearly all other FrontRunner and TRAX stations). Finally, other than Salt Lake Central, how many other FrontRunner or TRAX stations have indoor waiting areas?
For these reasons, we stand by the most proper name “Ogden Intermodal Transit Center”.
Having said all that, your input and suggestions are appreciated. THANKS!

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
