Information icon Hello, I'm Sir Sputnik. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Stephen McKenna (footballer), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. I've asked you to stop citing Transfermarkt in articles twice already, as most of it's content is user-generated. If you continue to do so, these edits will be treated as disruptive. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Kenneth Williams, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Kings Cross and Camden (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Steven Alzate, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Jessicapierce (talk) 17:10, 16 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Also, please understand that your contributions need to be in your own words. I'm editing your contribution at Antony (footballer) enough that it is no longer a problem, but for future, please take note - do not lift material verbatim from its source. Sorry but your 24 August edit of the Peter Wyngarde article's infobox, saying he had a child with Dorinda Stevens, has been reverted. If you have evidence to cite that they had a child together, for example the BMD register, or that one or both of them claimed they had a child, it should definitely go back in to the Infobox. You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Tina Turner. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. IMDB is not reliable, especially for biographies of living persons; it fails WP:USERG. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. I find it a bit odd that you seemingly thank me for reverting your previous misguided edit on the Bern Elliott and the Fenmen article, to then find that you reverted to your previous one. Please note my edit summary that stated, in accordance with Wikipedia editing guidelines, that 'Probably true - but ALL such edits need to be accompanied by a WP:RS. Please read WP:V and WP:BLP' Despite being here for five years, you appear to have a history of adding unsourced edits. I have reverted the article to how it was, and request that you supply a cited source for Elliott's death, or perhaps find somewhere else to expend your energy. - Derek R Bullamore (talk) 23:48, 16 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
