Hi. Good work on the Microsoft Office 2010 article. FleetCommand (Speak your mind!) 09:49, 25 January 2017 (UTC) |
Paste options?
[edit]Hi.
I believe you should write "pasting options" instead of "paste options". The later sounds like that act of choosing what you'd put on your sandwich.
Best regards,
Codename Lisa (talk) 10:11, 31 March 2017 (UTC)
- Codename Lisa, ah, I can do that, of course. I had just used the same...terminology that the original article did. Thank you for your input. (IanWilliam20 (talk) 16:44, 31 March 2017 (UTC))

A cup of coffee for you!
[edit]Well, hello! Look who is back. The amazing IanWilliam20, who makes pure good contributions.
I didn't see you around the whole October and before that, you just made a couple of edits. Anyway, it is always a pleasure to see an editor who knows how to make perfect edits. Codename Lisa (talk) 06:06, 20 November 2017 (UTC) |
- @Codename Lisa: Thank you very, very much for your kind words, though I do not consider myself to be amazing! I am grateful that you appreciate the contributions and that you had thought of me, as well as for your continued and consistent support! (IanWilliam20 (talk) 21:08, 18 December 2017 (UTC))
HomeGroup
[edit]Hello, coolest editor in Wikipedia! It has been a long time since I reverted any of your edits.
Joke aside, I am here to talk about revision 816037067 in which you wrote "users can make files and printers shared in a HomeGroup accessible to Windows XP and Windows Vista." When you write such a thing in the HomeGroup section, you are implying that it has something to do with HomeGroup itself because it offers some degree of backward compatibility.
In truth, that is not the case. What the source has explained is share the files and folders with HomeGroup once, and then sharing it using conventional file sharing protocol yet another time.
I way, what you added is already said:
HomeGroup computers can also be a member of a Windows domain or Windows workgroup at the same time and take advantage of those file sharing mechanisms.
Best regards,
Codename Lisa (talk) 08:05, 19 December 2017 (UTC)
- You are so nice to me! The reverted edit, however, was sadly not very good in spite of your previous appraisal.
- If I may, I did not mean to imply that HomeGroup protocols were used to make content accessible to Windows XP and Windows Vista, though I understand that it did read that way because of the way it was written. I wonder if you would mind if I tried to make it explicit that HomeGroup content is accessible to these operating systems, perhaps by rephrasing the reverted details—with the reverted citation—but also by emphasizing the traditional file sharing mechanisms? Thank you for your time and for your thoughts on this matter! (IanWilliam20 (talk) 19:00, 20 December 2017 (UTC))
- Yeah, go ahead. (Just for the record, tou don't need my permission for trying a new variation.)
- —Codename Lisa (talk) 21:28, 20 December 2017 (UTC)
- Thank you! (IanWilliam20 (talk) 01:50, 27 December 2017 (UTC))
