Hi, don't create edit wars. And please read (all) the conversations, here: Talk:Fettuccine Alfredo. JacktheBrown (talk) 13:51, 18 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
There are some minor problems with the information on this Wikipedia page.
Fettuccine Alfredo doesn't exist in Italy. Additionally, the is found only in the united states and some restaurants in the UK. IlEssere (talk) 14:47, 18 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@IlEssere: the fettucine Alfredo article is very controversial. This dish, as all Italian sources specify, originated in Italy, but has since been available in only two Italian restaurants; in the United States, on the contrary, it's a well-known and popular dish. JacktheBrown (talk) 17:24, 18 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I live in Italy and the dish doesn't exist. IlEssere (talk) 17:25, 18 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@IlEssere: I also live in Italy, and those who live in Rome say that there are only two restaurants in Italy (in Rome) that make this dish (see also: https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fettuccine_Alfredo). I repeat: this is a very controversial article. JacktheBrown (talk) 17:26, 18 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
McDonald's has its own 'Italian' dishes that originated in Italy, and unlike Alfredo, these are served all across Italy. Does that mean McDonald's 'Italian' food is genuinely Italian?
While Alfredo sauce has Italian influences and Roman origins, it cannot be considered a traditional Italian dish, just as many McDonald's items can't be genuinely Italian either. IlEssere (talk) 17:34, 18 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@IlEssere: feel free to discuss this on the article's discussion page: Talk:Fettuccine Alfredo. JacktheBrown (talk) 17:37, 18 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I have sent you a note about a page you started

Hi IlEssere. Thank you for your work on Athens is the New Berlin. Another editor, Broc, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:

Thanks for creating the page. Please note it contains copyrighted content, in particular close paraphrasing from [1]. To avoid copyright violations, it is critical to always rewrite the sources in your own words. Could you please fix the issues on the page and let me know?

To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Broc}}. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)

Broc (talk) 06:46, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for informing me. Could you please provide me with the exact parts that contain copyrighted content?
Additionally, as I am a new user of Wikipedia, could you kindly explain to me what an orphan article is? IlEssere (talk) 13:35, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I can't tell you which parts were removed; once we delete copyrighted material, an admin also hides the page history revisions that contained the violation. I simply don't have access to the page version before the deletion anymore. I would suggest to always fully rewrite content in your own words instead of copying material from sources. Changing a few words here and there will not be sufficient, see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing.
On your question regarding an orphan article: it's an article that is not linked from any other Wikipedia page. You can fix the issue by simply adding links to the page from other Wikipedia articles, there are some instructions at WP:ORPHAN.
I hope this helps. Welcome to Wikipedia, I hope you will stick around for a while! :) Broc (talk) 14:21, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the explanation! IlEssere (talk) 15:32, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
