[edit]Hello, I'm Arjayay. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Patamda, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 12:55, 21 September 2023 (UTC)
- I am Xeon and I lived in Patamda. I work in Patamda Block. I know that everything that you write on Wikipedia need reference. But everything is not available in the Internet for citation sometimes you have to refer Paper data also. So the changes I have done it's in written Paper document in Patamda Block and all the data's have surveyed in Patamda. I love my town and I know better because I born in Patamda and native also. So, If you want reference or anyone want references you can come to Patamda Block, I will show you all the data's and document. It's a small town how do you think it on the internet or any website. I try tp enrich our local areas in our country by giving information in Internet like Wikipedia and you like people want reference like Metropolis city, What do you think who can publish these data on Internet, so that I can reference it. Xeon245 (talk) 17:14, 21 September 2023 (UTC)
- Xeon245 - Wikipedia is not interested in who you are, where you live or what you "know".
- Wikipedia is only interested in what has already been published in reliable, independent sources, published by a body with a reputation for fact-checking - No blogs, no self-published sources, no bodies with a conflict of interest, no promotional sites, no vanity publishers and no predatory publishers.
These sources must be properly cited, in order to support any additions to, or changed in, our pages, so the information can be verified as true at any time in the future.
The responsibility for providing citations is solely on whoever adds or changes any information, to provide references from reliable sources that support those additions or changes.
You are repeatedly failing do do this, which is why your edits have been, and will continue to be, reverted. Please see Help:Referencing for beginners for the "how to" guide on referencing. - Arjayay (talk) 17:25, 21 September 2023 (UTC)
Please do not add or change content, as you did at Patamda, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 17:21, 21 September 2023 (UTC)
- Because of you like people India is still undeveloped, what's wrong with you, I said naa I have data and if you want come here. It's just a small town and I know better wikipedia's terms & Condition. Xeon245 (talk) 17:48, 21 September 2023 (UTC)
Wikipedia and copyright
[edit]Hello Xeon245! Your additions to Jairam Kumar Mahato have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, it's important to understand and adhere to guidelines about using information from sources to prevent copyright and plagiarism issues. Here are the key points:
- Limited quotation: You may only copy or translate a small portion of a source. Any direct quotations must be enclosed in double quotation marks (") and properly cited using an inline citation. More information is available on the non-free content page. To learn how to cite a source, see Help:Referencing for beginners.
- Paraphrasing: Beyond limited quotations, you are required to put all information in your own words. Following the source's wording too closely can lead to copyright issues and is not permitted; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when paraphrasing, you must still cite your sources as appropriate.
- Image use guidelines: In most scenarios, only freely licensed or public domain images may be used and these should be uploaded to our sister project, Wikimedia Commons. In some scenarios, non-freely copyrighted content can be used if they meet all ten of our non-free content criteria; Wikipedia:Plain and simple non-free content guide may help with determining a file's eligibility.
- Copyrighted material donation: If you hold the copyright to the content you want to copy, or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license the text for publication here. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Copying and translation within Wikipedia: Wikipedia articles can be copied or translated, however they must have proper attribution in accordance with Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. For translation, see Help:Translation § License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices. Persistent failure to comply may result in being blocked from editing. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Tacyarg (talk) 16:49, 28 November 2024 (UTC)
