Brief history

In December 2016, an undisclosed paid sock farm was discovered and reported at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Waffen77. This sock farm created and maintained dozens of promotional articles. One of these articles was Kris Degioia, an article created by krisdegioia (talk · contribs). All the Waffen77 articles were deleted under WP:G11.

In June 2017, it emerged that there were likely two separate groups of associated accounts: Waffen77 (talk · contribs) group and the krisdegioia (talk · contribs) group.

Activity commonly centered around the topic subject and a series of related articles and drafts. Subsequent newly created accounts have evaded their blocks by engaging in "sock puppetry" and/or "meat puppetry". They have been reported and tagged at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Krisdegioia.

On September 11, 2017, krisdegioia (talk · contribs) was banned by the Wikimedia Foundation from editing Wikimedia sites consistent with the Terms of Use.

Activity has continued where, between 2018 to 2020, several single purpose promotional accounts that created a number of drafts relating to Kris Degioia and companies in which she is involved, or edits to this page.
