The First Filipino Wikipedians meet-up in Iloilo (Iloilo 1) was held on August 11, 2024 in Museo Iloilo and SM City Iloilo in Iloilo City. It started at 02:00 PM and ended at 08:00 PM.
The event was organized by the Pilipinas Panorama Community — a thematic Wikimedia organization based in the National Capital Region (NCR) of the Philippines.
Agenda
[edit]- GLAM-Wiki Event: Museum visit at Museo Iloilo. Located within the premises of the Iloilo Provincial Capitol, it houses the collection of Iloilo's cultural heritage. The visit happened from 02:00 PM to 03:00 PM. The visit is a part of the GLAM-On-Tour 2024 Campaign in the Western Visayas Region of the Pilipinas Panorama Community (PPC).
- Short museum visits were also conducted at the Museum of Philippine Maritime History and Museum of Philippine Economic History due to time constraints. Photowalks were also conducted in the districts of Mandurriao, Molo, and the City Proper Area on the given day.
- Dinner in SM City Iloilo from 06:00 to 08:00 PM
- Ralff introduced the Hiligaynon Wikipedia (WP/HIL) in the Wikimedia Incubator and presented PPC's intention to create a Wikimedia community in Iloilo.
- The Philippine Panorama Project to conduct intentional visits and data gathering to featured towns and districts in Iloilo.
- August 11 - Iloilo City: Districts of Mandurriao, Molo, and the City Proper Area
- August 12 - Miagao (with U.P. Visayas Miagao campus), San Joaquin, and Iloilo City (Jaro, La Paz, and U.P. Visayas Iloilo City campus)
- August 13 - Santa Barbara and Pavia
- Meet-up concluded at 08:00 PM
