Donald President

[edit]

Unlikely search term. Rusalkii (talk) 23:29, 26 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Paravima totoro

[edit]

The redirect is a result of a mistaken move. Ghibli totoro is a completely different species than Paravima totoro. Ghibli (wasp) is a genus of wasps. Paravima is a genus of harvestmen in the family Agoristenidae. Plantdrew (talk) 23:08, 26 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Basilica of Sts. Peter and Paul

[edit]

Retarget to Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul. Doesn't make sense for it to redirect to this non-primary entry. The disambiguation page is a better target. GilaMonster536 (talk) 21:00, 26 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Humxn

[edit]

classy. while there is some potential for this redirect's plausibility in the context of self-flanderizing bird app politics (i can feel the bile in my throat just linking that), said potential and context are not mentioned in the target consarn (formerly cogsan) 20:20, 26 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • What in the world are you talking about? As far as I can tell (and what the creation comment seems to back up), this seems to be a drop-in for "human" to make it seem more gender-neutral, I guess. But I've found extremely little evidence of this actually being used (no hits in ngrams, etc), and there's no discussion about this at the destination (or anywhere, unsuprisingly), so Delete. 35.139.154.158 (talk) 04:22, 27 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
twitter gets into what i've seen having been described as "nothingburger debates" on a near hourly basis
in 2015-2018 (y'know, around the start of donald trump's first presidency), a popular topic was whether or not the left were goo goo ga ga babies who had cardiac heart attacks over instances of the character string "man". unfortunately, this means i can say "that's the joke" consarn (formerly cogsan) 11:18, 27 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
...this is confusing, but veering on delete I decided to search this up on Brave Search with no quotation marks or anything like that (just a plain ol' search), and I immediately found this blog post that (amongst other paragraphs I struggle to read as a native English speaker) explains that "humxn" is a neologism used by one blog to describe a person with a support animal. Regardless, this neologism is not discussed anywhere on the article for support animal (or anywhere on the internet aside from that one blog, it seems) though.
Urban Dictionary (which is the quintessential unreliable source) says that it's the gender neutral version of "Human" which lines up with this redirect's target. Consarn mentioned bird app, which would be the perfect source to look for this term in... if Elon didn't force me to make an account to search for stuff. Species 5618

[edit]

sci-fi fancruft!? no idea where the term originates, but it seems to be juggled around between at least two works consarn (formerly cogsan) 20:16, 26 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The Reformer

[edit]

This title is not mentioned in Calvin's article, and he was not the only architect of the Reformation. Scholastic accolades lists Reformator as a title of Martin Luther, but this is uncited, either on the "accolades" page or in Luther's article. The only incoming link is clearly intended to be to the Rutherglen Reformer, so my preferred action is to retarget to the newspaper. However, a dab page between Calvin, Luther, and the newspaper is also possible. Tevildo (talk) 19:50, 26 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Abhishek Chauhan

[edit]

Has appeared in numerous works (1, 2). WP:RETURNTORED. Nardog (talk) 16:25, 26 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Shazia Iqbal

[edit]

Has directed other works, including Dhadak 2, in addition to working as production designer for Sacred Games. WP:RETURNTORED. Nardog (talk) 16:22, 26 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Trafozsatsfm

[edit]

Similar to Wikipedia:Redirects_for_discussion/Log/2024_December_18#ITEOTWAWKI etc., no evidence this album is referred to by this initialism. 2A0E:1D47:9085:D200:A441:E116:80BC:26F3 (talk) 00:41, 19 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep - Google disagrees, it seems lots of people use exactly this initialism. Some use it in all lowercase, some all uppercase, and some with the mixed case of TRaFoZSatSFM, but I'm seeing significantly more hits than I expected when I searched for it. Looks like a useful redirect for navigational aid-- the title is so long people naturally want to shorten it. I don't think a mention in the article is necessary, this is just to get people to where they want to go without having to type the whole thing. Fieari (talk) 02:53, 19 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Unused WikiProject template shortcuts created in 2010 and 2021 respectively. Target has other, better shortcuts listed.  — Hex talk 11:55, 15 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Delete. This is a horrible named redirect. Gonnym (talk) 16:36, 17 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Howdunnit

[edit]

admittedly on the weak side of noms, but whatever. a "whodunit" is a mystery story where the mystery is the criminal. a "howcatchem" (or the longer name used in the target i guess) makes catching the very known criminal the mystery. a "howdunit" is somewhere in between, referring to how the do was did. it can overlap with any amount of whodunit and howcatchem. is death note a howdunit? cogsan (nag me) (stalk me) 12:10, 16 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

should also mention that there's a section on howdunits in whodunnit, but it's entirely unsourced and may be erroneously treating them as synonyms cogsan (nag me) (stalk me) 12:12, 16 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Weak Keep - Searching google shows at least one article that directly equates these as synonyms, even though if you just look at the word, it doesn't seem to be. [1] "Then there's the howdunnit, {...} These can be referred to as an inverse detective novel". I agree with cogsan that I wouldn't use this word this way, but there we go... a little scanning on social media shows that a lot of people use "howdunnit" and "howcatchem" interchangeably, which would make this the correct target. I'm not fully confident about this one though. Fieari (talk) 03:21, 17 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
More searching reveals more sources using "howdunnit" as a synonymn for "howcatchem" or the inverted detective story... including a plethora of hits on google scholar. So I'm removing the weak portion of my !vote. This synonym should probably be explicitly added to the article as well, given how many sources pop up. Here's just one as an example: [2], but the google scholar hits go on for pages and pages of results (some of which define it in the paper, others just use the word). Chongqing No.1 Middle School

[edit]

As per WP:RDELETE points 2 and 10, this redirect not only could plausibly be expanded into into an article (See prior edit history), but also creates significant confusion (The primary article linking to this is Chongqing, which this redirects back to, creating a recursive link) - Additionally, there are next to no pageviews (Prior to proposing this redirect be deleted), suggesting that it's not used frequently Gmoat (talk) 16:41, 17 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Delete per WP:RETURNTORED. It redirects to a list with no context, providng very little information for readers. Ca talk to me! 01:34, 18 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

No point in this redirect, her name is mentioned only twice here in a table. but she is also mentioned as a competitor/medalist in few other articles but none have enough content to anchor a redirect. Sports2021 (talk) 00:02, 10 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Delete Yeah, we essentially have someone who participated in a few events, but we don't have enough info about to have ONE cohesive target. User:Someone-123-321 (I contribute, Talk page so SineBot will shut up) 05:49, 27 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If it is the skater, then the current target is the cohesive target, since that's the only one where the skater finished on the podium, so the only prominent finish for the skater. But we have 2 historical figures with this name, a provincial governor and a rebel general, thus making this a good page to make a disambiguation page. WP:DABRL would cover using {{ill}} for the two historical figures. -- 65.92.246.77 (talk) 12:31, 27 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Finario

[edit]

Delete as ambiguous with Damian of Finario and Battista dei Giudici. These three minor details do not between them warrant a disambiguation page, and search results will do the job quicker and more simply than hatnotes. J947edits 02:57, 11 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Leo (kaiju)

[edit]

Same reason here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Redirects_for_discussion/Log/2024_November_8#Mothra_Leo 203.129.49.225 (talk) 10:00, 18 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete - I've already stated this in the past discussion @203.129.49.225 has linked here, and I'll have to say this again...

even if I did read those three films articles in my point of view or someone else's point of view, they'd be like "Who the hell is Leo?", and again, I'm not a Mothra expert, I'm only a Godzilla expert.

If those who don't know what this IP is referring to, I'll mention this quote stated in a past discussion stated by @121.45.246.200 Mothra Leo is a fan name and its simply a rumor, besides if its a rebirth trilogy, the Mothra should be named "MOTHRA", not Leo, otherwise Toho should've changed the names of the trilogy to "Birth of Mothra Leo".
I'm just leaning for delete anyway. GojiraFan1954 (talk) 10:18, 18 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
