Move To Discord Platform
[edit]Hi Everyone, I was wondering about moving all Wikipedia South Africa events to the Discord Platform.
- Firstly, A number of other languages and Wikiprojects have discord servers in place [1]
- Secondly, Discord is free and has bot options to patrol the server
A move to Discord will allow for newer users to attend and ask questions on the server. Event such as meet-ups and edit-thons will run much smoother, as discord offers both text and voice chats hosted on servers in South Africa. TapticInfo (talk) 11:42, 14 August 2021 (UTC)
