General Hi, I'm a freelance Web Designer/IT Geek in Tucson, Arizona. I've been using the Wikipedia front-end for some time now but haven't had any experience contributing/editing on the back-end. I stumbled upon Wikiversity a while ago but decided to come back later (Turned out to be Sept14,2007) after it had developed some. Developed it has! I'm currently going through the Web Design department to get my JavaScript and PHP scripting skills up to par. I have a lot to learn and I'm looking forward to contributing what I know and have learned to the department. I intend to get heavily involved with Wikiversity and do a lot of private studying. I like to learn on my own terms and I believe wikiversity will provide the medium for me (and a lot of other people) to do so! I eagerly anticipate the day when Wikiversity is recognized, as a legitimate source of learning, by established institutions. The challenge asked for a is_valid variable but I had a lot of trouble trying to figure out the logic for that so I settled for an OR condition.
